Hello my sweet PammieIs Lillian letting you get some sleep?
Hi Sweet RedHead, Mr Tom Terrific, Darling Annabeth and Everyone else I may have missed. No Lillian isn't letting me or her Mama much sleep. Grandpa on the other hand sleeps through anything. She's extremely fussy right now as a matter of fact.
I remember my nephew when he had colic...it was awful. We'd rock and lightly bounce him and when we thought he was asleep and went to lay him down, he'd started wailing again.
That's exactly what we've been going thru, last night Julianne finally got to go to sleep at around midnight, but I stayed up with Lilly until 2am and she hasn't slept much at all today either. She just pooped so hopefully she'll finally go to sleep.
Oh no!...my nephew would double over in our arms....I hope little Lillian doesn't hurt that bad.
She does I think, she's even stood up in our laps. I wish she'd out grow it soon, it just kills me to see her hurting like that.
---Motion is another effective method for easing crying from infant colic. Whether it be a baby swing, baby stroller, a ride in the car, or a walk in a baby sling, a colicky infant can be soothed by motion.
My grandma also used to lay my nephew on his back and let him kick...
We have a swing it helps a little bit. We're trying everything pumping her little legs, tummy time etc.
Anyway I'm gonna have to call it a night.
Sweet Dreams Everyone
Hi all.
My nephew had terrible colic. I would walk around and bounce/rock him until he fell asleep and then sit down with him still laying on my chest in a more upright position and he would stay asleep until he was hungry again. If I laid him down, he woke right up and went back to screaming bloody murder. Colicy babies don't like to lay down flat. They are more comfortable in a more upright position. Do you have a boppy pillow? If you rock them to sleep and then sit down with her and use the boppy for support, you can both sleep without risk of her falling off of you. It worked for me so both me and the little one could sleep at the same time. Oh, the stroller would work like a charm too. After he was asleep in the stroller sitting more upright, we would just leave him in the stroller and let him sleep away. The other thing that worked great was the boppy sradle in comfort bouncer. It put me out about $55 at Target but it was worth it in sleep gained. :) I don't think that poor baby ever slept in his crib. :) Good luck!
