Searchers Please Be Prepared

You can download, print and fill out the Volunteer Searcher Agreement prior to showing up at the Command Center, and it will help significantly in processing time at the Command Center - here is the link for the form: http://www.texasequusearch.org/applications/VOLUNTEER-REGISTRATION-AGREEMENT.pdf

The search begins at 8am each morning. If you are planning on joining in the physical search, please be aware of the following:

- You must be at least age 18 and have a VALID photo ID
- No children and no pets allowed
- You do not need to be a member of Texas Equusearch to participate
- It is advised that you come prepared as follows:

- pack a lunch
- wear long pants
- a long sleeve shirt is recommended due to mosquitoes
- sturdy walking shoes, rubber boots highly suggested (can get at home depot $12-15)
- bring a walking stick, even a broomstick is good, long golf club, mop stick
- if you have equipment such as machetes to cut back heavy brush, bring it along
- bring bug repellent - avon skin so soft is good
- gloves
- a hat or scarf
- sunscreen

- water bottles - i recommend freezing 1/2 bottle and adding water so it stays cold.
