Teen missing from Toronto SickKids hospital

Toronto police are asking for help to find a 15-year-old boy who wandered away from the Hospital for Sick Children in the city's downtown.

Police say Robert Frydman was in a secure ward but managed to find his way out around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

They say Frydman left with no shoes on and they're concerned for his safety.

He is described as white, 5 feet 6 inches, 125 pounds, with a slim build, short brown hair and dark eyes.

He was wearing a light grey sweater, light grey sweat pants and dark-coloured socks.

In an email to CBC News, the hospital's public affairs office said the safety and well-being of all its patients are "a top priority."

"We are concerned about the well-being of this teen and have been working closely with police ... to facilitate his safe return," the hospital statement said.

October 3, 2011 - A happy reunion for a 15 year old boy who went missing from Sick Kids Hospital.

Robert Frydman had been missing since Saturday morning, but police say he was found near 130 King Street and was probably wandering around the PATH system downtown.

They spotted him on video in the downtown core and he was found around 9:30 Sunday night.

He's back at Sick Kids for treatment.
