OKLAHOMA CITY -- Texas authorities are searching for a missing 18-year-old who may be in Oklahoma.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said Bethany Stroud, of Frisco, Texas, has been missing since Friday night.


Officials said she dialed 911 from the Dr. Pepper Arena and no one has heard from her since.


Authorities said her car has not been found, and agents believe she may be coming to Oklahoma.

Her vehicle is described as a teal 1998 Pontiac convertible with a black top; with the Texas license plate number CXB475.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call police immediately.

FRISCO — Concern is growing for a missing high school senior who disappeared shortly after leaving work Friday night.


Frisco police issued an alert Saturday afternoon for Bethany Stroud,
18. "Everyone’s just worried about her," said her friend and classmate
Eric Tejada. "They want her back because she's a big part of our
school."

He and other students at Stroud's school, Lone Star High School in
Frisco, have been printing fliers and flooding social media pages with
pleas to help find their friend.

"I decided I needed to do something about it," Tejada said.

Stroud was last seen leaving her job as a ticket-taker at the Dr
Pepper Arena at 9:30 p.m. Friday. Police said surveillance video shows
her walking toward her teal-and-black 1998 Pontiac Sunfire convertible,
but the images do not show her getting into the vehicle.

About 20 minutes later, dispatchers received a 911 call from Stroud's
cell phone. "There was no conversation on the line," a statement from
police said, describing what was heard as a muffled noise during the
12-second call.

There has been no activity on her phone or credit card since, and that troubles investigators.

"We are concerned given the circumstances, because according to
family and friends, this is very out of character for her to not be in
contact," said police spokesman Greg Barnett.

Stroud's family has not spoken publicly, but posted a statement on their front door thanking the public for their help.

Friends say Bethany Stroud seemed to have no problems at home. They
describe her as a popular, hard-working student. She worked at least two
jobs while also taking community college classes.

"I've never heard of anything that she was going through," said her
friend Megan Tallo. "Everybody loved Bethany... it's crazy and it's kind
of scary."

Investigators are asking for the public's help in finding Stroud and
her vehicle, with Texas plates CXB-475. Call Frisco police at

Frisco Police tell NBC 5 that 18-year-old Bethany
Stroud of Frisco has been found alive in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Officers
have not told NBC 5 her condition.

She is reportedly in the
custody of law enforcement. Detectives from the Frisco Police
Department are en route to speak to Stroud about her disappearance.

An 18-year-old woman has provided a description of the man she reported kidnapped her last week in Frisco, police said Monday.


Bethany Stroud, who was reported missing Friday after she left the Dr
Pepper Arena in Frisco, described her abductor as a black male in his
20s who is about 5-8 to 5-9.


Stroud, was found Saturday night in Muskogee, Okla., told authorities
the man was wearing dark jeans and a black-hooded pullover, was of
medium build and had a well-groomed goatee.


Police said Monday that the case appears to be an isolated one and is not related to the arena.
