Jacksonville toddler found in pond

The boy, 2, was pulled from the pool, but his injuries are life-threatening.

A 2-year-old Jacksonville boy suffered life-threatening injuries
after nearly drowning in a pond near his Argyle Forest home Wednesday
morning, police said.

Officers went to the home shortly before noon. The boy’s mother told
officers that the boy was able to get out of their home at The Vintage
at Plantation Bay apartment complex, 7740 Plantation Bay Drive.

She said she found him in the pond. The boy was taken to a hospital.
Police withheld the names of the mother and boy as the investigation
continues.
