JAYLA GASAWAY and CADENCE MILLS - 4 and 2 yo - Houston TX

An Amber Alert is in effect for two little girls who were allegedly kidnapped overnight. Police say four-year-old Jayla Gasaway and two-year-old
Cadence Mills were taken around 2:30am from Lawler Street in southeast
Houston.
Cadence is described as 1.5 feet tall and 15 pounds with brown eyes and black hair in braids.
Jayla is 3 feet tall and 35-40 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing pajamas.
Investigators say they were abducted by their mother's ex-boyfriend, 22-year-old Courtney Dickerson.
Dickerson is a registered sex offender, police said.
He is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen driving a 2003 gold Chevrolet Tracker with Texas license plate number CY4N906.
Anyone with information regarding the children, suspect or vehicle is

Police: Suspect evades capture, shoots himself

HOUSTON - Police said two girls and a mother are safe at home after a violent encounter with their suspected abductor.

The girls, ages 2 and 4 years old, and their mother were taken at about 2:25 a.m. Saturday.

Houston police Sargent David Hayes said the suspect, Courtney Dickerson is a registered sex offender, and had once been involved in a relationship with the girls' mother.

Hayes said Dickerson and another suspect kicked in the door of the mother's home on Lawler Street in southeast
Houston, forcibly took the mother and two young girls and fled in the mother's car.

Police said other than the fact that the second suspect fled on foot, they don't know much else about him.

Police were able to track down the mother's vehicle and pull him over, but Dickerson wasn't ready to give up. After refusing to step out of the vehicle, police said they busted out the driver's side window.

Dickerson somehow managed to escape, fleeing on foot and jumping a nearby fence, investigators said.

Police said before they could catch up, Dickerson shot himself. He was transported to Ben Taub hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

This isn't the first violent encounter between Dicerkson and the mother.

Police said their relationship had a history of violence. In fact, police said Dickerson sexually assaulted her at knife point on Thursday.

Investigators said the mother and two young girls were not physically hurt, and are now safe at home.

This woman brought a violent man, a sex offender, into her home and exposed her young daughters to him. Now she is free to brag some other low life home to her bed and again put her children in harm's way. What a POS mother.
