BRANDY GRAY - 12 yo - El Dorado KS

The El Dorado Police Department is investigating a report of a missing girl.
Brandy T. Gray, 12, left her residence and never returned.
She is 5'2", 120 pounds.
Police say she may be with a 20-year-old man by the name of Kenneth Stewart McGill.
McGill
has been reported as missing and suicidal driving a white 2006
Chevrolet Impala bearing Canada license plate number: BMZH 238.
This vehicle was reported as stolen by his parents from Ontario, Canada.
McGill
was registered in El Dorado at a local motel early Thursday. The
vehicle was observed Thursday morning heading north on I-35 near
Cassoday.
McGill is reported to be a resident of Ontario, Canada.
The girl reportedly communicated with McGill via the Internet.

A 20-year-old Canadian man is behind bars in Eaton County, accused of kidnapping a Kansas teen he had met on-line.
Kenneth Steward McGill was arrested by state police troopers late Friday afternoon northwest of Charlotte in Chester Township. Also in the car was 12-year-old Brandy T. Gray of El Dorado, Kansas.
An Amber Alert was issued today after Gray was reported kidnapped from her Kansas home, despite the fact that authorities suspect she went willingly with McGill.
Police say the pair had met on the internet.
Gray has been turned over to the Department of Human Services.

Canadian Man Charged In Missing Girl Case

been charged with picking up a 12-year-old girl in El Dorado, Kan., and
taking her out of state for the purpose of having sex with her,
prosecutors said today.

A Canadian man has been charged with picking up a
12-year-old girl in El Dorado, Kan., and taking her out of state for the
purpose of having sex with her, prosecutors said today.
Stewart Kenneth Cody McGill, 20, Bewdley, Ontario, is
charged with one count of transporting a minor out of state for the
purpose of having sex. A criminal complaint filed today in U.S. District
Court in Wichita alleges that on May 31 the girl’s father reported to
the El Dorado Police Department that she was missing from home.
Investigators tracked the girl’s
cell phone to an area near Potterville, Mich. About 2:45 p.m. on June 1,
police located McGill’s car on the shoulder of a dirt road in rural
Michigan. He was arrested and the girl was taken into protective
custody. Investigators learned McGill had met the girl online playing
“World of Warcraft,” and struck up a relationship with her.
If convicted, McGill faces a maximum penalty of not less than 10 years and not more than life.
Prosecutors said McGill entered from Canada, was pulled over four times, and had his license taken away.
He was found with the girl, who was reported missing
from her El Dorado home late last week. Authorities said McGill
returned to Eaton County to retrieve his license and pay his fine when
he was found with the girl.
McGill waived extradition during Monday's hearing. He will remain detained until Kansas authorities can retrieve him.

So true, so true. This was a lucky, fortunate outcome. Many are not.
