Durham police are searching for a 10-month-old child who went missing in Angier.
An Amber Alert was issued Saturday for Tamiyah Elssy Bryant, who was allegedly abducted from her home on Glen Ridge Court in Angier, according to a news release.
Authorities said she was abducted by her father, who has made threats to kill himself and the child, according to The Associated Press.
Police said Rodney Francis Bryant was taking the girl's mother to work at a restaurant, and when she tried to get out of the car, he forcefully held her down. Police say he eventually made her get out on the side of Interstate 40 in Durham, the AP reported.
Rodney Bryant was last seen driving a 2002 Suzuki Vitara westbound on Interstate 40, possibly traveling to Atlanta. The vehicle has a Washington state license plate number ACK7454 and is missing the driver-side door handle, the release said.
Tamiyah is a black female, approximately 18 inches long, weighing 24 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a pink shirt and diaper, according to the release.
Rodney Bryant, 26, is a black male, 6 feet tall, weighing 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, camouflage pants and an orange jacket. He has tattoos of praying hands on the right side of his neck, "Mob" on the left side of his neck, and "Macktown" across his knuckles.
Police have issued arrest warrants charging Rodney Bryant with kidnapping, assault on a woman and communicating threats, according to the AP.

NC Amber Alert Cancelled
Updated: Sunday, April 20 2014, 02:06 PM EDT UPDATE: An Amber Alert issued for a 10-month-old girl from Durham has been cancelled.
Officials say Tamiyah Bryant was found safe Sunday in Virginia with her father, Rodney Bryant.
Bryant has been charged with first-degree kidnapping.
Police say he took the baby Saturday morning after forcing his girlfriend from his car along I-40. They say he had made threats to kill himself and the girl.
