TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Federal and local authorities are searching for a 12-year-old Baltimore County girl missing since Tuesday.

Baltimore County police say 12-year-old Jasmine Leighlin Baker of White Marsh was last seen leaving home at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to walk to school. She's a sixth-grader at Perry Hall Middle School.

When Jasmine didn't return home, her mother called the school only to be told her daughter had never arrived.

Police said Thursday that Jasmine has a history of communicating with men through email, texting and apps. They say they can't confirm she's had such communications in the last few weeks.

Detectives have not seen any social media activity by Jasmine since she was reported missing.

Officers have asked that anyone who is a social media contact of Jasmine to call police at 410-307-2020.

Police Continue Search for Missing 12-Year-Old Girl

UPDATE (November 14, 12:15 p.m.)

BCoPD detectives, working with the FBI Baltimore Office and the Maryland State Police, continue to search for Jasmine Leighlin Baker, a 12-year-old White Marsh girl missing since Tuesday. They have investigated about 100 tips so far. Please continue to call police at 410-307-2020 with any information you believe may be relevant to this case.

UPDATE (November 13, 2:30 p.m.)

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Jasmine Leighlin Baker ask anyone who is a social media contact of the missing girl to contact police at 410-307-2020 as soon as possible; they believe her social media contacts may be helpful as they attempt to locate her.

Anyone with information about Jasmine should continue to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020. The 12-year-old Perry Hall Middle student -- missing since 7:30 a.m. Tuesday --- has never been reported missing before.

Police are aware of reports of an unfamiliar blue pickup truck seen near Jasmine's home in the 4200 block of Soth Ave., 21236. Detectives are investigating these reports, as well as several reports of other unfamiliar vehicles in the area. Contrary to unconfirmed reports, detectives say they have no evidence that Jasmine has been abducted.

BCoPD detectives have confirmed that Jasmine has a history of communicating with men -- including men in other states -- using Xbox Live and an iPod Touch. However, police cannot confirm that she has had any such contact in the last few weeks. Detectives have not noted any social media activity by Jasmine Baker since she was reported missing.

Detectives say Jasmine engaged in texting and live chat through the Xbox, which she also used to play games. She is known to strike up conversations with people she meets while playing games, as well as with other people.

Jasmine used the social messenger app "Kik." That is the only social media platform that detectives have been able to confirm Jasmine used, though they believe there are others.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has conducted a review of Jasmine's social media profile to see if she had additional social media user names. The Center did not find any additional user names for Jasmine.

The FBI's Baltimore office is extending the publicity regarding this case to other states along the East Coast, particularly in the mid-Atlantic. Police do not have any indication that Jasmine has left Maryland; however, as a precaution detectives are broadening the reach of this search.

Yes Jasmine was found alive on November 15th and a 32 year old has been arrested for kidnapping and taping her.  And now I will try to retrieve the link!
Nope, won't paste the link either (although it does give option) - am I the only one with this problem?
He does face a maximum of "up to life in prison".

Why was this girl allowed access to the internet?  She is lucky to be alive and I hope both she and her parents have learned a lesson.
