There are 35 states that have the death penalty and Florida is one of them. Though it’s hard for some to reckon the idea with, several women have been executed in the state of Florida since the death penalty was reinstated in 1976. More surprising, however, is that many women who have received the death penalty had their sentences commuted to life. In total, thirteen women who were sentenced to death row had their sentences either commuted or vacated; two women have been executed and one is currently on death row. Will Julie Schenecker and Casey Anthony join her soon?
