Rest for Caylee

Hey Papa and Nana, it’s me Caylee, I miss you very much

I finally understand why you cannot feel my little touch

I’m far away from you here above the clouds so high

I’m in a place filled with happiness and I no longer cry

It’s beautiful here and I’m okay, so please don’t be sad

Everyone is so kind and loving and no one ever gets mad

I’d like to be able to go and play with other kids like me

But God said that I must wait until you send up my body

So please Papa and Nana go see the man in the black suit

Have him fix up my body please, that old box smells like fruit

I don’t need to have a pretty dress or even fancy shoes to wear

It’s going to be hard to dress me since all my bones aren’t there

But that’s okay, God will fix me with a loving tender hand

He said out of love He made me and to Him I return like sand

So hurry Papa and Nana, my soul needs a place to rest and be free

I want to look just like I did before, I love you both, Caylee Marie
