Judge denies rehearing motion in Casey Anthony case

ORLANDO -- Judge Belvin Perry has denied a bold request filed by Casey Anthony's defense team.
This involves the court hearings we had at the beginning of this month where the defense wanted statements made by Casey to her family and law enforcement thrown out.
The defense team wanted a new hearing, while Casey's lawyers told Perry he got the facts wrong.
A former prosecutor we spoke with Friday said this isn’t a big risk for Casey’s defense for two reasons:
* They get their objections on the record to preserve for a possible appeals process.
* The judge might actually appreciate being corrected if he was wrong in his summary of the facts.
