Motion Filed To Keep Casey Out Of Court

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's lawyers have filed an objection asking the court to allow her to skip future court hearings (read objection). Earlier this month, a judge ruled Casey must appear for all future court hearings in her case (read judge's ruling).

Casey and her lawyers will be back in court Friday to ask the judge several things, including to order the owner of the property where Caylee's remains were found to let them in to inspect the area (read motion).

Jose Baez's most recently filed document lists several reasons Casey's defense team believes she has the right not to attend court hearings as ordered by Judge Stan Strickland.

Baez submitted, as part of the objection, a "Waiver of Defendant's Appearance" signed by Casey Anthony on January 26.
