Re: ZAYLEE GRACE FRYAR - 4 Months - Millersville (NE of Nashville) TN
We live in a stuffed up world where nothing is done to stop drug addicts with histories of abusing their children from having more and more children.
All 7 children had been taken into care by DCS. We have to stop people like this from getting pregnant. Instead of taking away parental rights after a baby is born, why the hell don't we just take away their right to get pregnant in the first place? The children are suffering and it's unacceptable.

---Totally agree with the Kiwi! You need more training and licensing to drive a car than you do to birth a baby.kiwimom wrote:We live in a stuffed up world where nothing is done to stop drug addicts with histories of abusing their children from having more and more children.

Search For Zaylee Fryar Hits One Month Mark

MILLERSVILLE, Tenn.
MILLERSVILLE, Tenn. - The search for a missing infant has reached the one-month mark. Four-month-old Zaylee Fryar and her mother disappeared on May 1st.
A week later, authorities found Shauna's body in the Cumberland River, but not the baby.
"That still to this day is my concern. The baby. The welfare of the baby," said Millersville Police Chief Ronnie Williams. "I've got two children of my own, two little girls, so it touches home."
He said his officers, along with the TBI, FBI, and the National Center For Missing & Exploited Children, have devoted countless hours to the search for Zaylee.
They've scoured the Millersville mobile home park where mother and daughter were last seen. Investigators also spent several days searching the waters of the Cumberland River, but never saw any signs of the baby.
Family members are holding out hope that she's alive.
"I'm not going to give up, because I want to find out where she is," said Zaylee's father, Thurman McMurry. "I don't call her Zaylee, I call her my angel."
Police have said McMurry is not a suspect, because he was in jail when Zaylee and Shauna went missing. McMurry believes someone out there knows something about his daughter's whereabouts.
"Just please if anyone has my kid, if you know anything, let someone know," he said. "Don't be scared, just come forward and let somebody know you know something."
Shauna's estranged husband, Michael Fryar, feels the same way. He's been questioned by police several times, because he was the last person to see Shauna and Zaylee alive.
"Michael had nothing to do with them missing, he did nothing but try to help. Even though they were separated, they were still best friends," said Cliff Fryar, Michael's father.
He said their side of the family is also praying someone with information comes forward.
"There's somebody out there that knows who picked her up the day that she left. There's someone out there that knows where that baby is and what happened," he said.
Police said the fact that Shauna left behind her car, cell phone, wallet, and the baby's diaper bag is one of several things about this case that just doesn't make sense.
While hundreds of tips have come in, Williams said people can help by making those tips a bit more specific.
"If you see a child that fits Zaylee's description, don't just call and give us the car description. Get the tag number if at all possible," he said.
Investigators tell us they are still waiting on toxicology results from Shauna Fryar's autopsy. They hope that report provide some insight into whether she died before or after her body hit the water.

BREAKING: Governor offers $10,000 reward in Shelley Mook case
Wednesday, July 13, 2011 ~ Updated 12:41 PM
State news release
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam is offering three rewards in three separate
cases for information leading to the apprehension, arrest and conviction
of the person or persons who are criminally responsible in each case.
Haslam is offering a $10,000 reward in the case of Shelley Mook who was
last seen on February 28 at the home of her ex-husband in Bedford County
where she had taken her child. Several hours later, her car was
discovered burning in Rutherford County. Authorities believe Mook is
the victim of an aggravated kidnapping and/or intentional homicide. The
governor is making the reward available at the request of District
Attorney General for the 17th District Charles Crawford and the Bedford
County Sheriff's Office.
The second reward is for $10,000 in the case of Lydia Naomi Gutierrez
who was stabbed and strangled in her apartment in Gallatin on August 12,
2010 while her two sons, ages 1 and 2, were there. Her third son, who
was 8, found his mother's body when he got home from school. Haslam is
making the reward available at the request of District Attorney General
for the 18th District Ray Whitley.
The third reward is for $5,000 for information leading to the
whereabouts of Zaylee Grace Fryer, who was 4 months old at the time of
her disappearance. The baby and her mother, Shauna Fryar, were reported
missing from their home in Millersville on May 5. On May 7, the
mother's body was recovered from the Cumberland River in downtown
Nashville around the area of the Shelby Street Bridge. Zaylee has not
been seen since May 1, 2011. An Amber Alert was issued for her on May
10. The governor is making the reward available at the request of
District Attorney General for the 18th District Ray Whitley.
"These are terrible crimes against women and children, and I hope these
rewards will encourage anyone with information about any of these cases
to contact the appropriate authorities immediately," Haslam said.
Anyone with information on any of these cases is urged to call the TBI at (800) TBI-FIND.

My heart cries for the lost little angel. So young.
I fear she's with god now. Taken by her mother. I hope and pray
otherwise but I've seen it too often.
