So, even the line to get in is getting Anthony-circus crazy. By 5:00 there were almost 50 people waiting across the street from the courthouse. Security won’t allow them to line up on the property. By 5:30 there were close to 80 and they all made a mad dash across the street. A woman had given out numbers to try to keep order but there are always those who don’t play by the rules and things got a little ugly. Don’t know if the court will change the rules on the public tickets since there were a lot of complaints.
Cindy was the first on the stand after Mr. Lippmann successfully won a motion to allow Lee in the courtroom outside his testimony. The crowd is mostly young again. And they are more interested in the hype of the trial than last week’s groups. They are well behaved but they don’t seem as knowledgeable about the case.
Cindy is visibly shaken when she first goes up to the stand. I guess knowing what is coming after a long weekend of contemplating can fray your nerves. The jury is looking between Cindy, Casey and Linda Drane-Burdick. Cindy seems committed to telling more of the truth of what happened 3 years ago and looks close to a medical breakdown. The pain of the loss of Caylee coupled with her being a critical witness against her daughter in a capital trial must be overwhelming.
