Donald Lee Sapp (registered sex offender) has two addresses listed on his FDLE sex offender flyer. One in San Mateo and one at 315 2nd Ave in Satsuma. The home in Satsuma is owned by Jeffery Michael Griffis and Billye Griffis.

A document dated January 5th, 2009 was filed in Putnam County asking for protection against violence. The complaint was filed by Jeffery M. Griffis on behalf of his three children, Mason, Willim and Duncan Griffis and he was seeking protection from DONALD LEE SAPP. What happened?

It gets weirder...

3 days later, Jeffery Michael Griffis was struck by a car and killed. This just happened on January 9th, 2009.

And to add to the weirdness....

The OTHER address on Donald Lee Sapp's FDLE flyer is 120 Oleander Circle in San Mateo. A news story (Palatka Daily News) dated July 6th, 2004 reported that a 22month old baby drowned in Donald Sapp's pool at 120 Oleander Circle in San Mateo. The parents of that child (reportedly Sapp's friends) were Rebecca Molin and Anthony Cribbs. According to putnam county records, Donald Sapp was once married to Angela Sapp (several domestic violence injunctions there too).

Shelbie Marie Cribbs (the child who drowned) had a maternal grandmother named Twila Griffis.

Is this somehow connected to Chad Griffis, boyfriend of Haleigh's bio-mom Crystal Sheffield?

PALATKA, Fla. -- After a sixth day of searching for 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings turned up "nothing of significance," authorities said they are close to wrapping up the ground operation and on Sunday moved the command center from the neighborhood to the Putnam County emergency operations center.
Haleigh vanished from her father's mobile home just north of Satsuma within hours of going to bed Monday night. She was reported missing by her father and his girlfriend, who authorities say have cooperated fully with the investigation.

"We're still treating it as an abduction because, as we said early on, that brings out the highest level of response," Putnam County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Rick Ryan said Sunday afternoon.


Since an Amber Alert issued Tuesday morning, a massive search of southern Putnam County has continued, involving up to 200 volunteers and more than 100 local, state and national law enforcement officers, WJXT-TV reported.


Ryan said that other than a couple of select areas, they were suspending the search and focusing more on the investigation, which was the reason the command center was moved from a trailer in Satsuma to county offices in Palatka, where more telephones and better Internet access would help the investigators processing more than 500 leads that have come in.


"We're just as enthusiastic today about it as we were on day one," Ryan said, while also said that going nearly a week without a sighting or solid lead is frustrating.


"This is not CSI. We cannot wrap it up in an hour. We wish we could," Ryan said. "These men and women are working their tails off."


Ryan dismissed reports that a missing or absconded sexual predator from nearby Marion County was connected to Haleigh's disappearance. While a warrant is out for the arrest of Chad Reynolds, Ryan said deputies checked reports that Chad Reynolds had connections or family ties in Putnam County and found them unfounded.


On Friday evening, two candlelight vigils were held as Haleigh's family prayed for the child's safe return.



Families Come Together



While the families of Haleigh's mother and father have been at odds part of the week and held separate candlelight vigils each night, both sides came together Saturday night for a prayer service.


Crystal Sheffield said the hope of getting her daughter safely home is the only thing that keeps her going.


"Everybody's here for you," Sheffield said. "If you're watching these, your momma misses you, daddy misses you ... your whole family misses you and we will bring you home."


Authorities ask anyone with any information to call the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at 386-329-0800 or the FDLE's Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse at 888-FL-MISSING.

PALATKA - Misty Croslin, the 17-year-old girlfriend of Haleigh's father, has been a key figure in this story. During an interview Friday afternoon, Croslin shared some information about herself: - She is originally from Michigan. She has lived in Florida for about seven years. Croslin has lived in various parts of the state, including Daytona, where she lived with her brother. - She has lived in Putnam County off and on for about a year. Her parents live here. She said she prefers city life. - Croslin has been dating Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, for about five months. She lives with him. - Croslin does not go to school; she hasn't for a while. She signed up for GED classes but never went. - On the night Haleigh went missing, the girl was sleeping in the master bedroom of the doublewide mobile home on Green Lane in Satsuma. There are two beds in that room. Haleigh was in the one that was right in front of the TV; Croslin and Ronald Jr., age 2, were in the second bed. - Croslin said the children are like family to her. Cummings works the night shift, and she watches the children. "I always stay with the kids," she said. "I had them 24/7, except for the four days out of the month when they would go to their mom's." - Croslin addressed the issue of someone her age watching such young children in this capacity. "I've been babysitting since I was 11," she said. "I have three nieces and two nephews and one on the way, and I've watched all of them."

Someone was in the house with Misty, Good possibility Misty and her guest were drinking or doing drugs, smoking pot. Misty fell asleep or passed out. The guest saw an opportunity to abduct Haleigh. In the process of removing Haleigh, he/she turned on the kitchen light, opened the back door, heard it squeak, got a brick to prop it open so when they left it would not squeak. Went back into the home, picked up the child and exited. That's why the door was found propped open and the light was left on.

The suspect literally had his/her hands full and could not turn off the light or take the brick from the door because they had to have both hands on the child

Oh wow--this is the first time I've seen this interview. Yes, she does say "the van they took", she was telling about a blanket in it. Have you noticed that she uses the words "they" and "them"?? If she doesn't know anything then why does she use these 2 words?
Also, wonder why we haven't been told anything about a van missing??? Hmmmm........

After listening to the GM on whoraldo, I feel like they should not start throwing states out there. That throws LE off the track. Remember CA when she kept saying that Caylee was in PR and then other states and LE went looking and they were all false. I just think LE needs to concentrate right now on this family's friends, family and neighbors.

SATSUMA - Today's updates:

10:30 a.m.
Texas EquuSearch, the volunteer group that helped search for missing Haleigh Cummings over the weekend, should be wrapping up about noon today.

Putnam County sheriff's Lt. Johnny Greenwood said this morning that EquuSearch volunteers have searched all of the wooded areas near Haleigh's residence. Many of those spots have been scoured two or three times.

Today, sheriff's investigators are focusing on a "few areas of interest" from some of the tips they've received, Greenwood said.

Greenwood couldn't say what type of locations or how many investigators would be searching today.

The Sheriff's Office may hold another press conference late this afternoon, but Greenwood said it likely will just be a routine update on the case.

I'm with you justme...I can't belive this is happening all over again. When my grandkids sleep over..I barely sleep and check on them constantly. If one of my dogs walks out of the room they are sleeping in, I jump up immediately and check on them. Sure enough they are in the bathroom. Another family with fishy things going on.

This is Misty. She lived with her brother in Daytona before moving to Palatka. I'm scared for Haleigh, things are not right in this situation.

This is the registered sex offender who lived in the Cummings mobile prior to them moving in. His name is James Joseph Lane and currently is registered in Tallahassee, FL. I think LE is also looking into this guy, as he may have had a key to the mobile.

James Joseph Lane used to live at 202 Green Lane, Satsuma prior to the Cummings. He now lives in Tallahassee.
