Talk about putting the brakes on this trial.

Judge Belvin Perry was first concerned about one witness a day. On Monday, there were zero and the jury wasn't even brought into the courtroom.

Jurors waited an hour behind closed doors.

The judge gave verbal reprimands to both sides, and after a lengthy break of attorneys going into a closed door meeting and coming back out only to go into another private meeting, the judge sent a deputy and court reporter to send the jury back to the hotel.

I could hear people laughing behind the door when deputy went in. We don't know what reasoning was given to the jurors.
