Saturday, June 25, 2011 was an unexpected day in Caylee’s case. It was supposed to be a full day in the Casey Anthony murder trial, but it didn’t happen. It started with another issue of Jose Baez bringing in a witness that was going to testify to things that were not in his report, once again. Same song, different dance. The witness was Dr. Furton. Jeff Ashton stated the State’s objection to this, citing that apparently this witness had developed new information as a result of this case. Judge Perry began to say what should be done about it, as in he would review the deposition and the report, to compare them and Baez cut him off and smarted off like a little punk. Saying things like “Judge we are not willing to go through all of that”. ”This is not necessary, we will just withdraw whatever the State is objecting to, and if it’s in the power point, we will just extract it”. Those were samples of the nicer things he said as he made sure to make his digs about the State and he tried like a guilty criminal to shift the blame. Again, same song, different dance. Judge Perry even addressed both sides, telling them you’d think this would be getting old by now, but apparently not. We all know that the State has done a remarkable job in this case and while they have made an occasional boo boo, by and large they have done a fine job. The dirty keeps coming from the defense, mainly Mr. Baez himself.
