Found Child - Unidentified boy - Cheektowaga NY

This is an urgent message from the
Cheektowaga Police Department. We are currently searching for the
parents or guardians of a found Child in your area. The Person's name
is: Unknown Unknown, an 7 year old White Male with Brown Brush cut hair
and Blue eyes, approximately 4 feet 2 inches tall, with a thin build.
He was found wearing: Sleeveless Blue Pajamas with Airplane on the shirt
saying Pilot Club and Sandals saying Ironman. He was found near: 540
Losson Road in BUFFALO NY; Today; Friday July 1 2011 at 6:00AM. We need
your help.

If you have any information about Unknown Unknown, please call the Cheektowaga Police Department at 716-686-3501.

Since I live fairly close to this I got an Emergency Call from the CPD this morning advising me of same.
I would think that the child is either badly injured or worse as a child
of this age would know his own name and address, wouldn't you think?

Exactly what I was thinking before I read your comment.

At last check, the Alert has been pulled from A Child is Missing and there are NO updates. Local media has ignored the case completely even though I e-mailed the local NBC outlet.
I went by the address where he was located this afternoon and it is a group home for the mentally/physically challenged.
I would be certain that this is the first place that LE checked so he was not from there.
It is also next to a town park. Perhaps he was dropped off there?
I will have to do more investigating...

I e-mailed LE last night. Seeing as I am local and not on any radar and officially sworn and documented as a federal employee, they MIGHT respond.

Have you heard anything? I got the same call yesterday morning, and it really upset me.

I suspect my e-mail has not been answered yet due to the holiday weekend. I noted that it is the Chief's e-mail addy so he will direct it to whomever....upon his return.
