BRIAN ROBINSON - xx yo (1991) - Riegelwood (NW of Wilmington) NC

Two decades have passed and Joyce Robinson
still has no idea what happened to her son. Brian Robinson vanished
without a trace on August 9, 1991.

"Everyday you wake up and say he didn't come
home last night or yesterday but I'm looking for him today," says
Robinson to WECT News in 1996. "It's hard. You learn to pray I tell
you."

These days Joyce says she knows its
unlikely her son will return home but she to peace she needs to
get closure and discover what happen that Saturday night.

"I haven't lost hope. But I much rather know he was dead, than thinking he could still be out there wanting to come home."

Trying to solve his case has caused many sleepless nights.

"It's like your backed up against a wall. You don't know what else to do," said Robinson.

She says he was getting ready to go out with
friends when he received a phone call. He promised to return briefly but
he never returned that night. Instead, his car was found abandoned
in Kelly.

"I instantly knew something was wrong cause he never, ever, ever, stayed off of home without telling me."

Joyce says she would later discover from
investigators that Brian was transporting drugs from Rigelwood to
Wilmington. But she'll never know if that's the reason for his
disappearance.

"Even now I have to ask myself am I dreaming."
