Unidentified Newborn Girl - Found on porch - Philadelphia PA

Police are investigating the death of a newborn found on a Philadelphia porch.Officers responded to a radio call shortly after 9am for a hospital case on the 4900 block of N. Marvine Street.
Upon arrival officers were informed by medics that a deceased infant was found on the front porch of a residence.
The infant / newborn was a black female that still had the umbilical cord attached and was wrapped in a brown blanket.
Police are concerned about the well being of the unknown mother who may be in need of medical assistance.
