October 29, 2011 - Windsor police are searching for a 12-year-old boy who walked away from his school during Friday’s lunch hour.



Gavin Blok-Kavanaugh reportedly left St. John Vianney Catholic Elementary School, 8405 Cedarview St., in Windsor on foot Friday after telling his friends that he was “taking off.”

Blok-Kavanaugh is described as a white male, about five feet tall and weighing 79 pounds.

He has brown hair and eyes and was last seen wearing a black and white hooded sweatshirt over a red shirt with dark jeans and red and white high-top running shoes.

Anyone with information about Gavin Blok-Kavanaugh’s whereabouts is asked to call Windsor police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4117.

Gavin Blok-Kavanaugh: LOCATED


A 12-year-old Windsor boy who was missing for two days was found Sunday night in good condition.

According to police, he was brought to the police station around 9 p.m. by family members.

The boy walked away from his school during Friday’s lunch hour and was reported missing later that day.

He reportedly left St. John Vianney Catholic Elementary School, 8405 Cedarview St., in Windsor on foot Friday after telling his friends that he was “taking off.”

Staff Sgt. Mark Denonville said he was in a safe environment with family for the past two days.

He said police are still with the child and the investigation is ongoing.
