Colony. He was reported missing from a family gathering. Dozens of
relatives, neighbors and friends were called in to help search for him.

Poster - Oh, this is too sad. And last year his twin brother drowned also.
Missing Knox County child found dead
The body of a 6-year-old missing Colony, Mo., boy was recovered in a pond near the home he was visiting Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Christin R. Baucom, was found dead just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, just more than 24 hours after he was last seen near the Knox County home.
The child, who was autistic, had last been seen alive Tuesday. The alert that notified the public included information that Baucom would not respond to his name if called for due to his autism.
According to reports, about 200 people joined a search of the area Tuesday afternoon and into the night, before being called back so a helicopter with thermal imaging capabilities could perform a sweep of the area. After that attempt to locate the child failed, volunteers resumed their efforts Wednesday morning.
The pond at the home of Mervin and Ruth Hoover, where the boy and his family were visiting, was drained, leading to the recovery of Baucom's body.
The death was the second time such a tragedy struck the Baucoms. Last August, Christin's twin brother, Jason Patrick Baucom, drowned at his residence near Knox City, Mo., after wandering from a group of children.

Re: CHRISTIN BAUCOM - 6 yo - Colony MO
Twins share so much in life, but one twosome is tragically sharing more in death.
Christian Baucom, a 6-year-old child with autism from Colony, Mo., was found dead in a pond Wednesday afternoon, just 200 yards from where he was last seen and just 7 months after his twin brother, Jason, also drowned in a different pond, WGEM-TV reported.
Several law enforcement agencies and volunteers searched for Christian after he went missing Tuesday afternoon, but local authorities believe this latest incident was an accident, KMOX-TV reported.
The boy did not live at the house by the pond where he was found, but was last seen playing by the house.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Lt. Nelson Elfrink said family members told investigators the boy had a "fascination with the hogs," and a hog pen is about 30 yards from the pond where he was found, the Quincy Herald-Whig reported.
The pond was searched by volunteers Tuesday night and Elfrink told the paper that he walked around the pond Tuesday looking for footprints, but didn't see any because the area is churned up and muddy from the hogs.
"There were people wading in there last night, but it was deeper than we thought," Elfrink said.
Before their untimely deaths, Christian and Jason were being cared for by a local Mennonite family because their mother is in prison, according to the Kansas City Star.
