St. Clair County Charges Nine Year Old With Murder

BELLEVILLE, IL (KTVI) - A nine year old St. Clair Illinois boy is facing first degree murder charges. Police say his victim is a one year old toddler. Friends of the victim’s mother say that the nine year old beat the toddler to death in Cahokia, IL.

A vigil had been scheduled for the victim Friday night, but it has been postponed due to Friday night’s severe weather.

By law, the minor cannot be tried as an adult and the case will proceed through juvenile court.

The parents them selves are not brought up right then they don't teach their kids. No absolute right or wrong,
no God, no respect for others or their property, no violence against others. These things are not being taught.
There was just recently a baby or toddler killed by a young girl of 10 or so. When kids are not brought up right
this will happen. Other kids pay for it sometimes with their lives. Recently there was a day care center in the
middle of scandle for making kids fight. These were adults making kids fight. That just sends the wrong
message to the kids.
