Amber Alert issued for missing Dare County girl



Kill Devil Hills, N.C. — State authorities issued an Amber Alert Saturday for a Kill Devil Hills child they believe was abducted by her 22-year-old mother. 

Neviah Faith Dobson, 4, is white, stands 3 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 35 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black long sleeve sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and black tennis shoes. 
Police believe the child was abducted by 22-year-old Shelby Nichole Dobson. 

Shelby Dobson is white, stands 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. The Amber Alert states she has tattoos of flowers on her mid-neck and thigh, as well as dolphins on her mid-back.

Investigators said Dobson was last seen leaving 301 Wallace Street in Kill Devil Hills. She was driving a silver 1999 Ford Taurus with a NC license plate OBX54622.

Amber Alert Cancelled: Missing girl found in Chesapeake

KILL DEVIL HILLS, DARE COUNTY -

Update: An Amber Alert for a missing Dare County girl was cancelled Sunday morning.

Four-year-old Neviah Faith Dobson has been found in Chesapeake, VA, according to officials with the Kill Devil Hills Police Department.

Neviah Dobson disappeared and was last seen with her mother, 22-year-old Shelby Dobson, according to police.

Saturday morning, information was not available on if any arrests were made or the condition of Neviah.

That's the best news I've read today. A lot of these custody abductions end in a "if I can't have them you can't" killing of the child.
