Amber Alert Issued for Girl, 3, Abducted in Fresno County
An Amber Alert has been issued for a 3-year-old girl who was abducted in Fresno County, authorities said early Monday morning.
Tanya Ruiz was taken at 7:45 p.m. Sunday in the small town of Huron (map), according to the California Highway Patrol.
Tanya is described as Hispanic, 3 feet tall, 33 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown shirt with flowers, blue denim shorts and white sandals, the CHP said in statement.
Her alleged abductor is described as a Hispanic male with long hair, approximately 30 years old, who was last seen wearing a red shirt and red hat.
No other information was immediately available.

HURON, Calif. (KABC) -- An Amber Alert has been issued for a 3-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted from Huron in Fresno County Sunday.
Tanya Ruiz was allegedly snatched from her mother's car around 7:45 p.m., according to the CHP. Her mother says she strapped Tanya into her car seat and went back inside the house to get her wallet. When she returned a few minutes later, Tanya was gone.
Witnesses told investigators they saw a suspect leaving the area on a bicycle with the child. A bicycle was later recovered one block away from the scene of the abduction.
The little girl is Hispanic, about 3 feet tall, 33 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown shirt with flowers, blue jean shorts and white sandals.
The suspect was described as a man in his 30s. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and red hat. Investigators believe he has long hair.
