Police are trying to answer lots of questions surrounding the death of
an 18-year-old male which could be connected to a kidnapping.Police said Stuart Keith Walker's body was found around 4:30 a.m. on
October 12th in a vehicle parked in the 1500 block of Morgan Lane.
Officers report Walker had been shot and are investigating whether the
shot was self-inflicted or if Walker was murdered.
Police
report that around 10:30 p.m. on October 11th, Walker and two other men
were involved in an aggravated kidnapping of a 16-month-old girl. We're
told the men, armed with guns, forced their way into a residence in the
1400 block of Reilly and took the baby from her grandmother. The baby
was found in the car this morning with Walker's body. She was not hurt.
Police are trying to determine Walker's relationship to the child, and they are also looking for the two other men involved.

A call in the dark, early morning hours Monday sent police officers
to Morgan Lane, where they found an 18-year-old man dead of a gunshot
wound inside a car and a 1-year-old who had been reported kidnapped
hours earlier unharmed in the back seat.

Police, who were investigating the aggravated kidnapping case, found
themselves also delving into an unexplained shooting death. Both scenes
were within a couple of miles of each other in eastern Wichita Falls.

The grandmother of 16-month-old Adrianelle Johnson called police at
10:31 p.m. Sunday. She told officers three armed men had entered a home
in the 1400 block of Reilly Avenue and taken the baby at gunpoint, said
Sgt. Joe Snyder, public information officer for the Wichita Falls
Police Department.

“At least one of the men is known to that grandmother,” he said.
“She said the men took the child and entered a blue Dodge Intrepid and
drove away.”

The grandmother went searching for the vehicle, and it took a while
for her to get to a place where she could meet with police, according
to the report. Adrianelle’s mother has custody of the girl, but she
wasn’t immediately located, police said.

Patrol officers began searching, and detectives from the juvenile
section were also called in. Officers searched for information about
the relationship between the child and the suspects and tried to track
where they might have gone. Officers went to several locations looking
for the blue Intrepid.

About six hours after the initial call came in, another call led
police to the vehiclewhere they found the body of Stuart Keith Walker.

“At 4:38 (a.m.) we got a call about a deceased subject in a vehicle
at 1515 Morgan Lane,” Snyder said. “We found one of the suspects dead
from a gunshot wound, and the baby was unharmed in the back seat.”

Officers took Adrianelle to the hospital to have her checked out.

“The baby is fine and was released to family members,” Snyder said.

Police blocked traffic and worked for several hours at the crime scene on Morgan Lane.

They requested an autopsy from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. The child’s family knows Walker, police said.

“The other two suspects have not been accounted for,” Snyder said.

Police are looking for the other suspects, as well as for more information about both cases.
