A family has disappeared in Latimer County, and authorities are now searching a rural area near Red Oak. Bobby and Sherilynn Jamison and their six-year-old daughter Madyson live in Eufaula. They haven't been seen since October 8.

Jamison's pickup
truck was found in rural Latimer County. Inside were the family's cell
phones, coats, ID's and a substantial amount of money.

The family's dog was also inside, barely alive. Several
law enforcement agencies have been searching for the Jamisons, but the
Latimer County Sheriff suspended the search Monday as they work on a
new plan to find the family.MADYSON JAMISON & her Mom and Dad - 6 yo - Eufala OK 11349062_BG1 Bobby Jamison is 44-years-old, 6'3", weighs 170 pounds and has brown hair and eyes. The FBI and state agents are looking for clues in the disappearance of an Oklahoma family that's been missing for two weeks.Bobby
and Sherrilynn Jameson were last seen in Red Oak, looking to buy a
40-acre tract of land with their young daughter, Madyson.

Deputies said they have since found the couple's truck but little else."The truck was locked," said Latimer County Sheriff Israel Beauchamp. "The keys were not in it."Beauchamp said that they found a lot of money, several coats, cell phones, maps and a GPS system inside the abandoned truck. The wooded area in which they were looking at land is considered rugged, even for experienced hikers.

"They
say the guy had back surgery, so up there, he wouldn't be able to get
around very far," said volunteer searcher Jordan Coffey.Investigators said they don't even know if the couple was planning to meet with someone about the property.Teams of volunteers have been part of a massive search for the Jamesons."We had planes and helicopters. We had people on foot, just under 100 people," Beauchamp said.Officers said the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation will also join the massive search.

On Friday, Latimer County investigators found what could be a key piece of evidence in the case of a missing Oklahoma family. The
only sign of Bobby and Sherilynn Jamison and their 6-year-old daughter
Madyson was their abandoned truck discovered Oct. 17 near the Panola
Mountains.Inside the Latimer County sheriff's department found money, coats, cell phones and the family's dog.During
a search on Friday, investigators found a pocket knife. Sheriff Israel
Beauchamp said pictures of the knife would be shown to the Jamison's
family members to determine if it was a knife the couple owned.Beauchamp
said the search for the family would conclude Friday evening and would
not resume unless new evidence or leads come into the sheriff's
department.Beauchamp said an FBI agent will remain on the investigation team since a missing child is involved.

MADYSON JAMISON & her Mom and Dad - 6 yo - Eufala OK Empty Re: MADYSON JAMISON & her Mom and Dad - 6 yo - Eufala OK

Post by TomTerrific0420 Tue Oct 27, 2009 2:43 pm

Bobby Dale Jamison, his wife, Sherrilynn, and their 6-year-old daughter
Madyson had already been missing for 14 days when search teams from
across the region decided one last time to brave the mud-slick roads of
the Red Oak Mountain area in southeastern Oklahoma.

The steep
and winding oil and gas roads that had been bogging down pickups and
horse trailers all morning were becoming too treacherous. Search
conditions were poor, and black-powder deer season, which started
today, meant it would be too dangerous to have search crews tromping
through the woods.

After an all-out mass search with more than
100 people came up short last weekend, Latimer County Sheriff Israel
Beauchamp knew Friday was probably going to be the last chance to
unravel the mystery of the missing family. It was a big mountain, and
the clock was ticking.

Beauchamp has been looking for the
Jamison family since someone who lives in the area found their pickup
Oct. 17, eight days after the resident remembered seeing the family in
the area.

The pickup was parked at a well site, about 30 miles
from the family’s Eufaula home. Beauchamp said the family had gone to
look at a couple of 40-acre plots of land for possible purchase with
what appeared to be plans to move a shipping container onto the
secluded mountain land and live there.

Inside the pickup,
investigators found Bobby Dale Jamison’s wallet, Sherrilynn Jamison’s
purse, maps, a GPS, a "substantial” amount of cash, and a cell phone
last used Oct. 8.

At first, Beauchamp said, it appeared the
family had become lost because they were not at the location marked on
the map, but investigators recently learned the site where the truck
was parked was a second site where the family was looking for land.

Beauchamp
said he was not ready to call the search effort a "recovery” for bodies
at this point, but as the days have turned into weeks, some searchers
have begun to prepare themselves for the worst.

Monty Jackson,
a former state forester and experienced searcher said he doesn’t tend
to make assumptions about what has happened or what he expects to find.

"We’re just here to do anything we can to try to help some
people who need help,” Jackson said. "Nobody knows what’s going on.
We’ll just look and see if we can find some clues. It’s hard to say
what’s going to happen.”

When the call went out that the
sheriff’s office was looking for experienced searchers and people
familiar with the area, they got 12 dog search teams, and dozens of
searchers on foot, on horse and on four-wheelers. And all of them had
one goal in mind — for one last day, they would work sunup to sunset,
trying to cover as much ground as possible and do their best to bring
some closure.

In this case, recent rainfall had made tracking
impossible, so the search meant setting up grids to look for disturbed
ground, checking waterways and looking for any pieces of clothing — any
clues.

Beauchamp said the air searches were frustrating at
times, because he had two helicopters, a plane and an unmanned drone,
but because of the thick "triple canopy” foliage, and windy conditions,
pilots were not able to see much of anything.

On the ground,
it was slow going, through thick mud, tangled undergrowth, rocky
ravines and mountainous terrain. But searchers said it was becoming
almost as important to complete a thorough search to rule areas out.

As
the sun started to drop near the horizon, however, teams had not found
any clues, and it was time to start down the mountain, disappointed and
frustrated.

In May, Bobby Dale Jamison filed a civil suit
against his parents Bobby Dean and Scarlet Jean Jamison for more than
$10,000 for the loss of money to which he said he was entitled when his
father sold the family gas station.

Bobby Jamison took out a
protective order against his father in May, but authorities said it has
been dismissed and appears unrelated to the disappearance of the
younger Jamison and his family.

In the suit, the missing
Jamison alleges his father enticed him to work for free at the Oklahoma
City gas station, but with the understanding that one day, the son
would have a half-interest in the station when he was older.

Victor Salcedo, principal of Eufaula Elementary School, said Madyson is a kindergarten student there.

"Our prayers go out to the family,” Salcedo said.

The Latimer County sheriff’s office announced Friday that the department is scaling back its ground search for a missing Eufaula family.

Bobby and Sherrilynn Jamison
and their daughter, Madyson, 6, were last seen Oct. 9. Their pickup was
found Oct. 17 near Red Oak, the sheriff’s department said. It contained
the family’s dog, cell phones, clothing, cash and other items that make
it appear the family was planning to return to the vehicle.Since Oct. 17, the sheriff’s department has used aircraft with heat
imaging devices, horse teams and 18 search dogs to comb the rugged
terrain looking for the family. More than 300 volunteers and dozens of
law enforcement officers have searched a 10-square-mile area but have
found no signs of the family.Sheriff Israel Beauchamp said there were no new developments but law officers were working around the clock looking for the missing family."After careful consideration, the decision has been made to scale back
on ground search efforts but will continue on a smaller scale … until
the Jamison family is found,” Beauchamp said in a prepared statement.Anyone who has information on the family’s whereabouts or other
information pertaining to the case is asked to call the Latimer County
sheriff’s office at (918) 465-2161.

EUFAULA, OK -- The holidays are a time for loved ones to be together,
but Niki Shenold worries her best friend's family has been forgotten.
44-year-old Bobby Jamison, his 40-year-old wife, Sherilyn, and their
6-year-old daughter, Madyson have been missing since October 7th.

The family's truck was found near the town of Red Oak in Latimer County.

Investigators found a small dog, cell phones, a global positioning system, maps, shoes, jackets, and cash inside the truck.

More than 300 volunteers searched the heavily-wooded area nearby for weeks with no results.

Shenold is Sherilyn's best friend. The two met in 1998 in the metro, bonded over books, and the friendship took off.

Shenold says, "Our daughters were born exactly one month apart and they were best friends as well."

The Jamison's had a lake house in Eufaula and loved it so much they moved there full time.

Shenold says, "They were good people. People are speculating about drug
deals and this or that, but they just were people trying to live. I
don't know what to think, I mean it's as if they stepped out of the
truck and vanished."

After weeks of unsuccessful searches, Shenold says she's convinced the family is gone for good.

She says she wants to grieve, but can't because she does not know where Sherilyn, Bobby, and young Madyson are located.

Shenold says, "Somebody knows something and all they have to do is come
forward and say this is where they can be found. At this point, I just
want them found. I don't even care what happened, I just want them
found."

Nearly seven months have passed since Bobby and Sherilyn
Jamison and their 6-year-old daughter, Madyson, vanished from those
mountains. Investigators have encountered a maze of possibilities when
studying the family’s history, leaving open every scenario from murder
to the staging of their own deaths.Interviews with friends and relatives, court records and letters the
Jamisons left behind depict a family in turmoil."Normally, you can go through an investigation, and one by one, start to
eliminate certain scenarios,” said Israel
Beauchamp, Latimer
County sheriff. "We haven’t been able to do that in this case. With
this family, everything seems possible.” The Jamisons were last seen alive Oct. 9 by a local man as the family
was looking for a plot of land for sale. Eight days later a hunter
reported the family’s abandoned pickup at a well site in the mountains
northwest of Red Oak. Inside the locked, four-door pickup with the keys in the ignition they
found Bobby Jamison’s wallet, his wife’s purse, a cell phone, a GPS
unit, clothing and $32,000 stuffed in a bank bag beneath the driver’s
seat. They also found Maizy, a family dog barely clinging to life. There were no signs of a struggle."The dog was eating its own feces to stay alive,” Beauchamp said. "Why
would anyone leave their family pet like that? Doesn’t make sense. Then
again, nothing seems to make sense about this case."A lot of investigators would love to have as many leads as we do. The
problem is they point in so many different directions.”A topographical map of the mountain hangs in his office to remind him of
the unsolved case. Lines crisscross the map, documenting the four
massive searches that involved hundreds of volunteers, horses, mules,
four-wheelers, 16 teams of cadaver dogs, helicopters and even an
unmanned drone.The 31-year-old sheriff, a former U.S.
Army Ranger
and drug officer, needs little reminding. His mind is consumed by
questions and theories."Throughout this whole process, I’ve found myself going back and forth
as to what might have happened,” Beauchamp said. "I’m at my wit’s end. I
have asked for all the help I could get — 12 FBI
agents, three OSBI agents, Troop Z (of the Oklahoma
Highway Patrol), private investigators who have contacted me. I
even belittled myself to the point where I listened to psychics.”Demons and spirits

Gary
Brandon, a Eufaula pastor, told investigators the Jamisons were
engaged in spiritual warfare. He said Bobby
Jamison told him he often saw "two to four spirits on the roof” of
their lakeside Eufaula home.Once, Bobby Jamison called Brandon to inquire whether there were
"special bullets” he could use to shoot the spirits, the minister told
investigators. He told the pastor he was reading the "satanic bible” for
a natural remedy.Investigative notes show Sherilyn Jamison told Brandon there were "three
to four spirits” in the house, including children named Michael and
Emily, and that Madyson often talked to Emily’s sister — a spirit that
had wings. Sherilyn Jamison wasn’t afraid, though. She believed she had
the gift to cast out demons.Graffiti on a massive storage container outside their home also prompted
questions. One message reads: "3 cats killed to date buy people in this
area … Witches don’t like there black cat killed.” Beauchamp said the
family planned to live in the container once they acquired mountain
property.Beauchamp said the paranoia could suggest an addiction to drugs, but has
found no evidence they were users or dealers. Ruling out the role of
drugs in the family’s disappearance is another issue. The circumstantial evidence can’t be ignored, the sheriff said. Both had
lost substantial weight in the months before vanishing. They carried
large amounts of cash. And a security camera mounted at their house
showed them moving in what Beauchamp described as trance-like motions."On the video sometimes they would just stop and stare,” Beauchamp said.
"It was strange.”Connie
Kokotan, Sherilyn Jamison’s mother, now wonders about a comment
Bobby made last summer."They were having financial trouble,” said Kokotan, 59, of Midwest
City. "Bobby told Sherilyn, ‘I know where I can get the money, but I
won’t involve you.’ But if they were involved in drugs, I never saw
any.”Kokotan lived with the family between March and June last year. She
described her daughter as bipolar, and said Bobby Jamison lived with
back pain from an automobile wreck in 2003."Sherilyn was a very strong-willed person, but I saw her change
dramatically,” Kokotan said. "She became very illogical. One day she
drove me to Oklahoma
City and dropped me off on the street. She told me to, ‘Get ... out
of my car.’ So I did.”Murder-suicide?

Investigators have ruled out nothing, including murder-suicide. An
11-page letter from Sherilyn Jamison to her husband was found in the
pickup. Beauchamp described it as "a hate letter” in which she derides
him as a "hermit.”Eufaula police found another letter in their home that dwelled on the
spiritual realm of death."They were certainly a family obsessed with death,” said Beauchamp,
adding that a .22-caliber pistol registered to Sherilyn Jamison is
unaccounted for. Kokotan said she was with her daughter the day she
bought the pistol "informally” from a Muskogee
man."I think someone killed them, and they’re still up there,” Kokotan said.
Investigators entertained the idea the Jamisons staged their deaths.
They owned two timeshares in Mexico
and several across the United
States, Beauchamp said. None have been used since they vanished.Foul play?

Motives for murder are abundant. Beauchamp said that’s why every
possible scenario remains open — robbery, revenge, a bad drug deal, even
a professional hit.A collective portrait of the family led investigators to conclude they
were "scammers,” Beauchamp said. Both had been receiving disability
checks. They were plaintiffs in at least two civil lawsuits, including
one against Bobby Jamison’s father, Bobby
Dean Jamison."We were told they were also planning to sue the Eufaula
School District,” Beauchamp said. "Over what, I have no idea.” One family friend questioned by investigators stayed with the Jamisons
in Eufaula until being asked to leave at gunpoint."He had the barrel stuck in his ear by Sherilyn,” Beauchamp said. "At
first you think, ‘Great, here’s someone with a motive.’ But the FBI
cleared him.”A man who lived a quarter mile from where the pickup was found is the
last known person to see the family as they ventured up the mountain.
He, too, was questioned."The man claimed he never saw the family after that,” Beauchamp said.
"Nor did he see anyone else go up or come down.”A security camera at the Jamisons’ home offered another possible clue.
Before the trip to Latimer County, investigators saw Sherilyn place a
brown leather briefcase in the pickup. The briefcase was never found."I think it might have held a lot of cash,” Beauchamp said. "I’ve gone
back and forth on this thing, but my latest theory — based on how the
truck was parked and what was found in the truck — I think they were
forced to stop and got out of the truck to meet with someone they
recognized. And I think they either left willingly or by force."What happened to them after that is a mystery. Will we ever find them? I
sure hope so.”

I can think of one possibility that isn't being investigated. It's really far out of the realm of normal, but it happens...especially in that area. There are very weird satanic cults that keep hidden "safe" houses. Dozens of people can live in these houses without anyone ever knowing. Only one or two men are allowed "out" to get groceries and such. They especially like little blond-haired girls. I know it's seems bizarre, but I personally know someone who escaped one of these houses. She is messed up for life....she will never be normal after what happened to her. MADYSON JAMISON & her Mom and Dad - 6 yo - Eufala OK 847791 Never.

Given this family's propensity for the dark side, the dad reading the satanic bible, the graffiti on the storage container, and the mom's preoccupation with "demons," it makes sense. They may have been sucked into a very sick and disturbed cult.

I've wondered about this too Admin, it's a very, very real possibility with this family.

This is interesting also, seems little Madyson was the heir to grandpa's estate and her uncle is the executor, just makes one go, hmmmm..........

So many people who new this family dropped the ball IMO. Red flags showing they were psychotic that the Paster and Grandmother all let slide and I bet there were plenty of other people who ignored red flags and left this little girl to her fate. I think murder suicide is most likely given the money and dog that was found with the truck.
