Police search for girl, 2, missing after visit with grandmother


Police are hunting for a 2-year-old Ocoee girl who went missing after a scheduled visit with her grandmother in Apopka.

  The toddler, Athena Elaine Leon, was picked up by her maternal grandmother on Monday, Ocoee police said. When her paternal grandmother went to pick Athena back up on Friday, the girl was not there. The girl's father has full custody of the child, police said.
  
  Attempts to locate Athena, her mother and her grandmother have been unsuccessful, police said. Authorities said they are concerned for the girl's well-being but said there is no reason to believe she has been abducted.
  
  The girl is described as being about 2 feet tall and weighing 25 pounds, with shoulder length hair and fair complexion. She was last seen wearing purple pants and a t-shirt.
