JON KACPERSKI - 13 yo - Henderson NV

Henderson Police are seeking the public's assistance in located a
missing 13-year-old boy.
Jon Kacperski was last seen in the area of College Avenue in
Henderson riding his bike about 5 p.m. Monday. The boy left a note at
his home indicating he might hurt himself.
Officers searched the area and Metro Police's helicopter was also
used to try and locate the boy; however he has not been found.
Anyone with information regarding the boy's whereabouts is asked to
call Henderson Police at 267-4750 or 267-5000.

The search is over for a 13-year-old Henderson boy who ran away from
home Monday.
Police found Jon Matthew Kacperski at the Lowes parking lot on
Boulder Highway. He was uninjured but transported to a local hospital
for evaluation.
Police say Jon Matthew was last seen Monday at 5 p.m. riding his bike
down near College and Boulder Highway. In a note left behind he said he
was going to kill himself.
"He better know that I love him. Come home, stop this dumb
[expletive], we can get through whatever happens. I don't know what is
happening," said Terry Kacperski.
According to the family, Jon Matthew has tried to commit suicide at
least twice. He also ran away from home about one week ago, but came
back.
Kacperski says his son has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals.
He is also currently on anti-depressants which he didn't take with him.
Early Monday, police searched with helicopters and K-9 units.
Nevada Child Seekers says teen runaway numbers are actually up a
little bit. They say the economy is taking its toll on kids who are
stuck in the middle of issues like unemployment. But they say, each case
will vary.
They say it's hard to find a child because they don't leave behind a
paper trail. So police truly rely on those tips they get from people in
the community.
