The mother of a 14-year-old girl caught dancing at a Detroit topless bar
said she wants the club shut down for good.
"I don't want this to happen to no other 14-year-olds," said the
woman, whose daughter's alleged months-long stint as a dancer at All
Star on 8 Mile led Wayne County prosecutors to charge a club manager
with abuse.Andrew Hutson, 31, is charged with child sexually abusive activity, a 20-year
felony.He was arrested Wednesday on allegations he employed the underage girl. The girl's mother said
she caught her daughter in a lie April 16 when the teen said she was at a
friend's house, but the friend said the girl had gone to work at the
club. The teen's mother said she went to All Stars and showed initially
dismissive club employees the girl's high school ID card, after which
they retrieved the topless girl.Hutson told police the teen provided a fake ID
indicating she was of legal age. But Police Chief Warren Evans said:
"It's clear to us the club knew she was underage or should have known
she was underage."Evans said he will work to persuade the state's Liquor Control Commission to
padlock the club, which he said has been the site of 11 nonfatal and
three fatal shootings since 2004.The club also has made headlines as being the employer
of slain Detroit exotic dancer Tamara (Strawberry) Greene, who gained
notoriety after being connected with a never-proved party rumored to
have been held by then-Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick at the Manoogian Mansion.
Greene was killed in a drive-by shooting in April 2003.Evans said All Stars routinely stonewalls officers
investigating incidents there.Billy Hutson, the club manager's brother, said the
charges are unwarranted."He didn't hire her," said Billy Hutson, 27, who said he works at the club
as a porter. "This is a legit establishment. We play by the rules."

All Stars, a Detroit strip club, will be padlocked for a year, Wayne County Chief Circuit
Judge Virgil Smith ruled today.
The closing — from July 11 through July 11, 2011 — was sought by the
Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office after authorities allegedly found a
14-year-old girl dancing at the club on 8 Mile.
Club manager Andrew Hutson is awaiting preliminary examination on July 13 in Detroit
36th District Court on charges of child sexually abusive activity.

Police say an underage girl found dancing at a
Detroit strip bar earlier this year was caught this week dancing at
another topless club in Detroit.

Police spokesman John Roach says
officers went to Club Onyx on Monday night after getting a tip that an
underage girl was dancing. Roach says the 15-year-old they found was the
same girl who at age 14 was performing at All Stars Lounge in April.

Roach says police arrested a club
manager. No charges had been brought as of Tuesday evening.

Messages seeking comment were
left at phone listings for the club.

The arrest came on the same day
that All Stars Lounge was padlocked following an order from a judge.
That club is to remain closed for a year. A lawyer for All Stars Lounge
has said he's appealing.

A teenage girl who had been illegally dancing at the All Star topless
club on 8 Mile in Detroit -- prompting the club to be padlocked for a
year by authorities -- was caught illegally dancing at a second club
Monday, police said.
The girl, who was 14 when she was discovered dancing in April, has
since turned 15, Detroit Police spokesman John Roach said. While
publicly padlocking All-Star on Monday afternoon, police got a tip that
the same girl was dancing at another strip club.
Just hours
later, police found her inside Club Onyx on Joy Road, Roach said. Like
All Star, that club also could be declared a public nuisance and ordered
shut for a year, Roach said.
Officials with the club couldn't
be reached for comment today.
A bar manager has been arrested
but hasn't yet been charged with a crime. Roach said the manager could
face a charge of child sexually abusive activity, which is the charge
that had been leveled against an All-Star manager. That case is still
pending.
The girl is now at a youth home, Roach said. Her
mother previously had filed an incorrigibility petition declaring the
teen uncontrollable and asking for court intervention.
Soon
after the girl was discovered at All Star, her mother told the Free
Press that she wanted that club shut for good. She said her daughter was
cognitively impaired. The Free Press does not identify alleged victims
of sex abuse.
The latest tip about the girl did not come from
her family, Roach said.
Roach said Club Onyx had recently been
warned about employing underage dancers. All dancers at Detroit topless
clubs are required to have dance cards issued by the city, he said.
Roach
said it appears the girl provided the club with a fake ID that
indicated she was old enough to dance there, but she did not have a
valid dance card.

A 15-year-old girl found dancing at a topless club in April and then
nabbed again for allegedly performing at another club in July pleaded
guilty Wednesday in juvenile court to violating probation. The
teen was removed from the All Stars club on Feb. 5 and later arrested
July 12 at Onyx Club for allegedly working as a dancer. She is on
intensive probation to Judge Sheila Gibson for school truancy. Gibson
ordered her held in juvenile custody until she is placed in a suitable
facility. A review hearing will be held Oct. 22.Acting on a tip about an underage performer, Detroit Police raided
Club Onyx on Joy and Greenfield. They discovered the 15-year-old dancer
performing for customers and learned she is the same teen caught dancing
about five miles away at All Star Lounge when she was 14 years old. Police said the girl may have danced at the All Star Lounge several days a week and was making about $350 per night. The
girl also testified that she worked at two other strip clubs before
being hired at All Star and that another underage girl she went to
Northwestern High School with also worked at the club. Detroit police closed the All Start Strip Club on July 12. The
mother of the teen said she was "shocked" to discover her daughter was
performing at a dance club. She told police that her daughter had told
her she was staying at a friend's house on the night she was actually
working at the club. According to police, the mother has been working with the juvenile justice system to have her daughter declared incorrigible.
