A child's body has been discovered in Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation.
The body is that of a 5-year-old boy, and his body was discovered in Box
Elder Creek, Monday.
Sources near the scene say the boy was believed to have gone missing
yesterday, from his home on Lower Box Elder Road, and that his body was
found near his home in the creek.
Rocky Boy's Tribal Police, say they can't disclose the exact
cause of death, or identification of the 5-year-old.

A child's body has been discovered on the Rocky Boy’s
Indian Reservation. The body is that of five-year-old Michael Scott Red
Door. His body was discovered in Box Elder Creek around 4:30 p.m.
Monday.
Sources near the scene say the boy was believed to have gone
missing Sunday, from his home on Lower Box Elder Road, and that his body
was found near his home in the creek.
Investigators believe the boy drowned, but the Chouteau
County coroner is doing an autopsy to verify that.
The creek was swollen and moving quickly due to spring
runoff.

Michael Scott Red Door, 5, from Rocky Boy, was discovered in
Lower Box Elder Creek Monday afternoon by search and rescue teams and
volunteers. Red Door was reported missing after a boy he was playing
with said he had fallen in the creek at approximately 3:30 Sunday
afternoon. Search and rescue volunteers were unable to find him before
the search was suspended that night at 9:30. The search resumed the
next day along the stretch of the creek off of Bonneau Dam, with
volunteers and law enforcement from Chouteau and Hill counties and Rocky
Boy's Indian Reservation, as well as helicopters from the U.S. Customs
and Border Patrol. "So we have a lot of thanks for a lot of people who
came to our aide," Tim Martin, public safety director at Rocky Boy,
said. Red Door was discovered 300 yards from where he was reported
missing in the swollen creek at approximately 4:30 Monday afternoon,
Martin said this morning. "He was just by the creek with another
relative," Martin said, when he fell into the water after reaching out
to touch it. The creek level was higher Monday even than it was Sunday,
he said, but the velocity of the flow was lessened from the dam for
approximately two hours Monday while people searched for Red Door. An
autopsy is being performed by the Chouteau County coroner, but no foul
play is suspected, Martin said. Cause of death is suspected to be
accidental drowning, he added.
