"She would treat the baby good. I never saw any sign of abuse, nothing,"
said Chris Anderson. Anderson is not the father of the baby, but
he said Williams' dropped her off Thursday night. "She was pushing
herself up, trying to stay up while trying to cry," he said about the
infant, "and so I picked her up out of the bed, and I held her in my
arms, and that's when I went into the living room," said Anderson.Williams'
mother arrived at the police station Friday morning and said she does
not know what happened, but says her daughter is a wonderful mother.
"She is a good mother. She took care of that little girl. I don't know

Re: REGINIYA WILLIAMS - 6 Months - North Miami FL
A six-month-old baby girl named Reginiya is clinging to life at
Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami on Saturday. Police officers
are investigating how the baby suffered the life-threatening injuries
that left her in a coma. On Friday morning, North Miami police
and Fire-Rescue responded to a call at a North Miami apartment complex,
1595 N.E. 125th St., where the mother's boyfriend Christopher Anderson lives.
Anderson said that the mother Angela Williams had dropped off the
baby at his apartment on Thursday night saying that the baby was sick.
He heard the baby make noises in the morning, and saw her lose
consciousness. He thought the baby may have been choking."It's
like she was looking at me, holding my T-shirt right here, and then all
of a sudden her hands just dropped from my T-shirt and her eyes rolled
in the back of her head," said Anderson. "It was just crazy man. It was
like holding a dead body."Anderson said that he used to live with
Williams, 17, and the baby, but that she had moved to Hollywood after
they had gotten into a fight. North Miami Police questioned
Williams after she showed up to the police station on Friday. They
expected to charge her with aggravated child abuse, but because the
suspected abuse happened in Hollywood they transferred her to
Hollywood's police headquarters. In North Miami, Anderson broke
down and began to cry when a local TV reporter speculated that it was likely
that the baby would not make it out of the hospital alive. "I did
notice about two weeks ago that the baby had some sort of weight loss,"
said Anderson. "She was adorable. She was always laughing. She was kind of spoiled."

Teen mother confesses to child abuse
MIAMI (WSVN) -- A young mother has made a chilling confession concerning her hospitalized 6-month-old child.
On Monday, the North Miami Police Department released the police report of 17-year-old Angela Williams's confession to abusing her daughter, 6-month-old Reginiya Williams. According to the police report, "She advised me that Reginiya had been sick since a week ago."
Williams dropped off Reginiya at her boyfriend's apartment, while she went to get something to eat, Friday. Williams' boyfriend, Christopher Anderson, said, he was watching TV when he heard Reginiya making strange noises. "Her eyes rolled in the back of her head," Anderson said. "It was just crazy. It was like holding a dead body."
Anderson, who is not Reginiya's father, called 911. According to the report, when police appeared on scene, they "met with Angela Williams, the baby's mother, who appeared calm and collected."
Reginiya was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she underwent a CAT scan. The police report said, "The CAT scan revealed that Reginiya's skull was fractured by a blunt force, and she had blood in areas of her brain."
North Miami Police questioned Williams all day Friday; the teen was later released.
Police said, Williams confessed to the abuse when she was confronted with the inconsistencies between the evidence and her original story. The North Miami Police report continued, "She was irate. She threw Reginiya against a dresser, where she struck her head."
Reginiya remains in critical condition and on life support at JMH. According to police, the child has a fracture on the left side of her skull, right above her ear.
Hollywood Police have taken over the investigation, since they believe Reginiya was injured in Hollywood; they are closely monitoring Reginiya's progress.
No criminal charges have been filed against Williams yet

As a 6-month-old baby still clings to life in a Miami hospital, her mother may be bracing for life behind bars.
Angela Williams, 17, has confessed to police that she tossed her infant against a dresser after she became upset at the crying child, according to a North Miami Police report.
Police responded to an emergency call Friday regarding Reginiya, the baby girl. The mother's boyfriend, Christopher Anderson, told 911 operators that the child looked really sick and was unresponsive.
When authorities arrived, the child was already in a coma. Once at the hospital, doctors concluded the child had a fractured skull from some type of blunt force trauma.
Police then began questioning Williams, who eventually confessed that in a rage, she threw the child against a dresser, causing the baby to hit her head. It's unclear when she abused the child, but Williams told police Reginiya had been sick for about a week.
But Tuesday afternoon, Anderson said the whole thing was an accident.
"All the sudden, her eyes rolled in the back of her head and her hand dropped from my shirt, her neck dropped back and it was like I was just holding a dead body," Anderson said.
He said in the month or so that he's know her, Williams has never hurt her baby.
"I never, not once saw her lay a hand on her, never not once do anything to harm her," he said.
No charges have been filed yet as police continue to investigate.
