BOSTON - As reported last night in the news article HERE
two 4-year-old twin girls were said to have "fallen" into their
family's pool and drowned at their Endicott Street home in Brockton,
Massachusetts. The twin girls, Lindsey and Leslie Bonsu,
were found in the pool by their parents, Gyabaa and Prudentia Bonsu.
The parents are both a nurse and nurses aide, but yet for some reason

according to a neighbor of the family. When emergency officials
arrived, the frantic mother was on the front lawn of the house, laying
on the ground and screaming, according to the Bonsu Family's neighbors.
"When I came outside, the mother was distressed on the driveway," said
another neighbor Craig Zack. "She was out of it.
They were trying to help her… there was so much commotion."

The sister of 4-year-old twin girls who drowned in
their pool in Brockton was watching the girls right before they fell in
the water. The twins' 9-year-old sister went into the house to use
the computer Saturday morning, and a short time later, the girls fell
in the pool, according to police reports. Investigators are trying to learn if during that time, the twins crawled through a hole in the fence surrounding the pool. When
emergency personnel arrived, twins Lindsey and Leslie Bonsu had been
pulled out of the pool unconscious by one of their parents. The girls' mother had worked until 7 a.m., and was lying down at the time of the tragedy. The pool appeared to be unused and in disrepair. The girls were taken to Brockton Hospital, resuscitated and then transferred to Children's Hospital in critical condition.Lindsey was pronounced dead a few hours after the accident. Leslie died Sunday morning. The
deaths were reminiscent of a scene in Lynnfield two weeks ago where
twin 2-year-old girls, Angelina and Veronica Andreottola, drowned in
their family's swimming pool on July 17.

The mother of twin preschoolers who
drowned in their family’s backyard pool in Brockton on Saturday is
“devastated and blaming herself,” the pastor asked to officiate the
4-year-old girls’ funeral told the media.
“It’s just a terrible tragedy. She’s very lovely. She’s taking it
very hard and so is the father,” the Rev. Andrew Gardner of Wendell
Avenue Alliance Church said of Prudential Bonsu and her husband, Gyabaa
Bonsu.
“They’re a lovely couple,” Gardner said of the Ghanaian immigrants
who came to the United States 13 years ago. “They couldn’t be nicer,
harder-working, loving parents.”Yesterday, Brockton police told the media that Lindsey and Leslie
Bonsu’s father and napping mother, a nurse’s aide who had worked an
overnight shift, left them in the care of their 9-year-old sister
Saturday morning as the children played outside.
The family told police the older girl went inside to use a computer
and when she returned to check on them, she found them in the
6-feet-deep pool, apparently accessed through the broken slats of a
fence.
Records show police responded to the home at least once before, when
the twins were witness to a heated squabble between their parents seven
months ago.
Brockton officers were dispatched to the Endicott Street home Dec. 7
to investigate a 911 call someone had hung up. Prudential Bonsu told
police she and her husband were experiencing “serious issues in their
marriage” and that she’d hid his cell phone because he wouldn’t explain
why a woman’s number kept popping up, according to an incident report.
Gyabaa Bonsu - who Gardner said is a nurse at New England Sinai
Hospital in Stoughton - told cops “he has reason to believe that
Prudential has had an affair,” the report states.
No one answered at the family’s home yesterday.
Gardner, a longtime missionary in Africa, said the twins’ older
sister is still with her parents. Funeral arrangements were incomplete.
Brockton fire Chief Richard Francis said the twins’ father had pulled
their bodies from the pool by the time emergency crews arrived Saturday
morning.
Francis declined to discuss reports that one of the twins nearly
drowned in the same pool on Aug. 9, 2007, saying the tragedy is “still
under investigation.”
The lake-shaped, in-ground cement Gunite pool was built in 1973 for
$3,000 and had lawful permits under a previous homeowner, according to
records at Brockton City Hall.
The Brockton tragedy was the second time in two weeks that twins
drowned in Massachusetts. Angelina and Veronica Andreottola, age 2, died
July 17 after falling into the family’s inground pool in Lynnfield.

Snipped from Examiner.com----
The twin's drowning on Saturday was not the first such incident. On August 9, 2007 Lindsey Bonsu, one of the twin girls, had a near drowning in the same pool at the family's Brockton home.In that case three years ago, the child’s mother, Prudentia Bonsu,
told authorities she was outside with the children and left them
unattended for about two minutes. When she returned, Mrs. Bonsu told
authorities at the time, she found Lindsey at the bottom of the pool.
Much like Saturday's incident, Gyabaa Bonsu, the child’s father, jumped
in and pulled the girl from the pool and administered CPR.Lindsey
Bonsu was then taken by ambulance to Brockton hospital where she was
treated and released the following day. There were no further
investigations into the family after that incident.

No news at all about this. I hate that. It's almost like nobody cares.
