"Infant Jane Doe" - 9 Months - Davenport IA

Davenport police are investigating how a 9-month-old girl cameto be unconscious in a bathtub Wednesday. The girl was in the tub with a 3-year-old sibling when thechildren's mother left the room for a time, Police Capt. DavidStruckman said. When the woman returned, she discovered the9-month-old floating in the tub. Officers were called to home in the 2600 block of Rockingham Roadat 12:41 p.m. The child was taken to Genesis Medical Center, West Central Park,Davenport. She later was transferred to University Hospitals, IowaCity. Her condition was not available late Wednesday. The Iowa Department of Human Services also is investigating theincident.
