The search for a missing Merced County woman ended on Tuesday after her body was identified.26-year-old Ana-Lila Diaz Deceja and her 2-month old son Anthony were last seen on Thursday in Planada.
Her body was discovered that same day in Snelling but was badly burned and could not be identified.The Merced County Sheriff’s Department confirmed on Tuesday that the body is that of Ana Diaz but say the cause of death has not been determined.Deputies have not located her baby but on Tuesday, an abandoned baby was found on the doorstep of a home in Le Grand, just a few miles from Planada.DNA tests are being conducted to determine if the baby is Ana’s but those tests will take about a week.
