Milwaukee police need your help in their search for a missing
11-year-old girl. Desire Harris was last seen at her school, Lancaster
Elementary, at 8:05 a.m. on Thursday, January 27th.
Harris and the other student had planned to set off together, but the two parted ways in the 6400 block of N. 42nd St.
There's great concern because a child of this age should not be wandering around the city streets alone.
Anyone with information about
Harris' whereabouts is urged to call the Milwaukee Police Sensitive

Milwaukee Police have located 11-year-old Desire
Harris. Harris returned home on her own early Sunday morning.
Milwaukee Police were asking for help in locating her after she was
last seen Thursday morning at Lancaster Elementary. Harris and another
student had planned to set off together, but the two parted ways in the
6400 block of N. 42nd St.

Posters note: I don't know if this is related, but I'm posting it because kids need to get the message that if they run away they are in extreme danger. If it wasn't this child it could easily have been.

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee man is charged with sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl who was missing for days.According to a criminal complaint, Victor Lewis met the girl after she ran away from home.Police
said Lewis was standing on the side of the road dressed as the statue
of liberty outside the Liberty Tax store on Capitol Drive when the girl
walked by.Police said Lewis took the girl home after work and the two had sex multiple times over two days.Lewis told investigators when his family saw the girl's picture on TV he tried to call police but he got an answering machine.The girl said she eventually called her mother to pick her up.
