Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a missing teenage girl Saturday.Deputies
said Madison Victoria Jones, 15, was reported missing Friday night at
about 6 p.m. She was last seen by family members between 12 p.m. and 1
p.m. walking from her residence toward Highway 274.



She is
described as a white female, 5 feet 5 inches tall with hazel eyes and
blondish-brown hair and weighing about 115 pounds. She was last seen
wearing blue jeans, white shoes and a red or pink hoodie.Family members told the sheriff’s office that Jones could be in the company of Larry Crowder, 40, of Gaston County.Authorities said Crowder is known to drive a red 2007 Chevrolet Colorado, or a 2004 KIA.Anyone with information on Jones’ whereabouts are asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 704-735-8202.

VALE, N.C.-- The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says they have located a teen that was reported missing on Friday.
Investigators found 15-year-old Madison Victoria Jones in Rock Hill Saturday night.
Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office say Jones was with Larry Crowder, 40, of Gaston County.
They tell NewsChannel 36 Crowder was taken into custody by Rock Hill
Police but didn't have information available on what he was charged
with.

Police: Missing teen sexually assaulted before found with 40-year-old Gaston County man

A 40-year-old Gaston County man faces kidnapping and rape charges
after being found in the company of a missing Lincoln County teenager.
The teenage girl, who lived in a portion of Lincoln County that has a
Cherryville mailing address, was last seen on Friday between noon and 1
p.m. walking away from the mobile home park where she lived toward N.C.
274.
Working in combination with the SBI, FBI and Rock Hill, S.C., police
enough information was established that placed the girl in the Rock Hill
area and officers there conducted a traffic stop of a red 2007
Chevrolet Colorado operated by Larry Alvis Crowder, 40, of 123 Lakeview
Lane, Cherryville. The teenager was also in the vehicle.
Rock Hill Police charged Crowder with contributing to the delinquency
of a minor and other charges and placed him in custody. He will have a
first appearance Monday in York County.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective Lt. Tim Johnson secured warrants
charging Crowder with first-degree kidnapping and three counts of
statutory rape. Crowder awaits extradition to North Carolina.
The 15-year-old girl was returned to Lincoln County on Saturday.
Deputies checked throughout Friday and Saturday for locations where
the missing teen could possibly be but did not find anyone who had seen
the teenager. Information provided by the family helped lead to Crowder
who was not at his Lakeview Lane, Cherryville home when Gaston County
officers checked there on several occasions.
