"Toddler Jane Doe" - 2 yo / Convicted: Jeremias Aguilar - Phoenix AZ

A Phoenix man accused of fatally throwing his
girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter on a cement floor has pleaded guilty
to second-degree murder and attempted child abuse.
Jeremias Joel Aguilar entered the guilty plea Friday in the girl's death. He will be sentenced March 18.
Police say the girl wasn't breathing when
they arrived at her home in June 2009. Doctors found that she was
brain-dead and also had cigarette burns and bruises covering her body.
Police say Aguilar initially told them that
the girl fell down but eventually told them he became so angry with her
for crying that he threw her on the concrete floor.
Aguilar had been living with his girlfriend
and her daughter for four months, and told police he had hit both of
them in the past.
