"Toddler Jane Doe" - 3 yo /Accused: Stephen Wilcox - Jackson TN

Police in Jackson have arrested a man for allegedly molesting a three-year-old child.
Police arrested 43-year-old Stephen Wilcox on charges of attempting to commit aggravated rape of a child on Saturday.


Police were called to an apartment in Lincoln
Heights on Friday night by the parents of the child. They had left
their three-year-old daughter in the care of Wilcox, who is an
acquaintance. When they returned home, they allegedly found Wilcox
completely naked in bed with the child. The child was unclothed from the
waist down.
The child's father was able to momentarily detain Wilcox before he got away, following a brief struggle.
Wilcox was arraigned on Monday morning on an
unrelated violation of probation. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the
new charges on Tuesday.
The Department of Children's Services is assisting in the investigation.
