WASHINGTON TWP. —
Family members are looking for a missing girl with special needs.
Anastasia L. Eggers, 14, has been missing since 1:30 p.m. Wednesday,
March 30 at Beech Street NE. She ran away after a disturbance at the
home, according to the Stark County Sheriff’s Department, which is investigating.
The agency said Thursday that a female motorist gave the teen a ride
around 7:30 p.m. after the girl was walking along Easton Street NE.
The driver dropped off the girl at the BP station at S. Chapel and E.
Main Street in Louisville, where she was last seen around 8 p.m.
The Sheriff’s office is checking surveillance video from the station for clues as to where Anastasia might have gone.
She was wearing a pink Carhart jacket, black leggings, black rain boots with polka dots and a pink knit cap.
She is 5 feet 6 inches tall, 105 pounds, with long blonde hair, blue eyes and is wearing black framed glasses.
Investigators say Anastasia was adopted about a year ago. Investigators
have contacted the girl’s biological mother and other family members but have not located her.
Anyone with any information should contact the Stark County Sheriff’s office at 330-430-3800.

Missing teen found sleeping in Louisville church
LOUISVILLE —
A Washington Township girl with special needs who has been missing since Wednesday spent the last two nights in a Louisville church.
Chief Deputy Rick Perez of the Stark County Sheriff’s Department said Anastasia L. Eggers, 14, was found between 8 and 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Deacon of Hope Church, 1101 E. Main St.
“She spent the last two nights and all day yesterday there,” he said Friday morning. “She found an open door and went in.”
The church secretary found her Friday morning. The woman gave the child food from a nearby McDonald’s restaurant Friday morning and notified the sheriff’s department, Perez said. Louisville Police went to the church to wait with the girl until deputies arrived to return her to her adoptive parents at the sheriff’s department.
The child had been missing since about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on Beech Street NE. Deputies said she ran away after a disturbance at the home. A woman gave her a ride about 7:30 p.m. after seeing her walking along Easton Street NE. She dropped the girl off at a gas station at South Chapel and East Main Street in Louisville.
“She said that when she was dropped off in Louisville on Wednesday night, she went down to apartments where she used to live,” Perez said. She didn’t find them. The apartments were not in the same area.
So she returned to the church, and “she’s been there ever since,” Perez said.
Investigators said Thursday that the teen was adopted about a year ago, and that investigators had contacted her biological mother and other family members but were not able to find her.
