Casey walked into the court room around 8:55am (see images | raw video), wearing a plaid shirt with a grey sweater over it, a pair of khakis, and socks with flats. Her hair was pulled into a very long pony tail, that she began twirling after sitting down at the defense table.
Things, though, got off on the wrong foot for the defense. No one from the defense team informed the court they would need a video conference set up for a defense witness. So, Judge Belvin Perry put the court in a 30-minute recess to set up the equipment. The court resumed at 9:30am.
