Fight Heats Up Over Casey's Mental Health
Sides Disagree What Evidence Should Be Allowed At Trial

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The legal fight is on over Casey Anthony's mental health at the time of her daughter's disappearance.

Prosecutors claim that Anthony's actions during that time period indicate her so-called consciousness of guilt. Anthony's defense now wants to introduce two mental health experts to rebut the claims, but the state has filed a motion objecting.

Prosecutors insist that they should be able to have their own mental health experts examine Anthony. The state has also objected to any introduction of the evidence at all during the trial.

Anthony's defense team objected to the request in a new motion. Her lawyers argue that because Anthony is not claiming an insanity defense, they said there are only limited circumstances where a prosecution expert would be able to examine Anthony.

They do not believe this case fits the legal standard for another examination.
