Police are appealing for help in finding a 15-year-old girl from Vancouver Island who disappeared in Burnaby with a tattooed man about 10 years older than her.
RCMP Cpl. Brenda Gresiuk said Autumn Peters-Mackillop was last seen Thursday evening walking towards the Metrotown SkyTrain station with a man she had just met.“She was with a friend and they had met this male,” she said. “We are not treating this as suspicious but the family is concerned for her well-being.”Gresiuk said Peters-Mackillop is an aboriginal girl with a thin build and is around 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 45 kilograms (100 pounds). She has long blond hair, which she mostly wears tied up, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black and grey striped tank top with blue leggings and black furry boots.“It’s not a luring case,” added Gresiuk. “They were talking with this guy and hanging out with him. She has a history of not returning home on time but it’s not chronic.”The man is described as being about 25, with a tattoo on his neck.Anyone with information is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at (604) 294-7922.
