CRESTWOOD, Ky. -- Oldham County Police are looking for a 16-year-old runaway and the 52-year-old convicted felon she may be with.
Samantha Parker is listed as an "endangered runaway." The sophomore at South
Oldham High School hasn't been seen in more than a week.

Her family and friends are concerned about where she is and who she's with.Samantha's mother,
Danielle Parker, said she last saw her daughter in their Crestwood home on May 8."I
just kissed her good night and when I went up in the morning to wake
her up for school the next morning all I found was a note," Parker said.
The note said not to worry, that she was going on an adventure."It
was a lengthy letter about how she's sorry that she had hurt me like
this. It happened quicker than she expected," Parker said.Parker said she was stunned.
"There was nothing that we knew that was wrong that would warrant her leaving,"
she added.Searching for her daughter for more than a week, what she has learned
she said is even more shocking, and troubling.Samantha is now pictured on the
National Missing and Exploited Children's website.Parker
said she met 52-year-old Toby Mason in January, when Samantha asked to
sleep over with a friend who said she lived her uncle. Parker said Mason
even introduced himself as the girl's uncle.Parker said she
dropped Samantha off and picked her up from Mason's house near the
corner of Highways 329 and 22 on numerous occasions. The house is now
vacant."I'm assuming that all the kids were going up there after
school or something. I know my daughter was. I thought she was gonna go
visit (her friend) Katie," Parker said.But since Samantha left, Parker has discovered
that Katie didn't live there, and that Mason is not her uncle."The
more I find out about this man the more I worry and the more danger I
feel that she is in. I don't understand what this man is thinking in his
head. That any sane healthy individual would not befriend a child and
take them from their parents," Parker said.Oldham County Police are investigating
this case, and said Mason did not have a vehicle.They're asking anyone with information

felony warrant has been issued for Mason on a probation violation for a
conviction in Jefferson County on theft and fraud charges related to a
natural gas well investment scam.He did not show up for his probation revocation
hearing scheduled for May 10.The judge has set his bond at $35,000.

A Crestwood teenager who had been missing from her home since May 9 has been found in Florida, Oldham County Police said.Samantha
Parker, 16, was found around 9 a.m. Thursday in a motel in the Miami
area, police said. She was with Toby Mason, a 52-year-old man she met at
a business in Crestwood, and one of Mason’s friends Edgar Kidwell,
police said.Mason and Kidwell have felony charges in Kentucky and may have charges in Florida, Police said.Samantha
has been missing from her home since May 9, when she left her mother a
note saying she was "going on an adventure," police said.Officials
had believed Samantha was with Mason, who worked at The Crestwood Game
Room in Crestwood Station. Samantha often went to the business, said
Officer Chris Morris with Oldham County Police.Both
had made comments about wanting to go to Florida, which has led police
to believe that they may be there together, Morris said.Samantha did not take her cell phone, he said.Samantha
was found through a joint investigation between the Oldham Police
Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, Oldham Police
