Casey Anthony defense asks for mistrial on day four of trial

CBS/WKMG/AP) ORLANDO, Fla. - Jose Baez, attorney for Casey Anthony, began day four of Anthony's first-degree murder trial by asking the judge for a mistrial, citing irrelevant testimony from friends and former boyfriends as being prejudiced.

Baez said the testimony was impermissible character evidence, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.

Judge Belvin Perry denied Baez's motion after pointing out that Baez had asked many of the witnesses if Anthony appeared to be a good mother to her daughter Caylee, and they all said yes, reports the station.
