Casey Anthony Trial Update: "Legal issue" halts trial until Monday

(CBS/WKMG/AP) ORLANDO, Fla. - Day 28 of the Casey Anthony murder trial ended with no witness testimony.

Attorneys for the Florida mother charged with murdering her 2-year-old daughter were expected to continue calling witnesses on Saturday.

But after meeting with lawyers from both sides in the morning, Judge Belvin Perry announced that court would adjourn until Monday. He said a legal matter had come up.

"Both sides concur that a legal issue has arisen unrelated to the legal issue we talked about this morning ... that would necessitate us recessing for the day," Perry said according to CBS affiliate WKMG.
