Halifax Regional Police is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing youth.

Sixteen-year-old Katelyn Nicks was last seen on Friday, January 28 at approximately 2:45 p.m. in Halifax where she was staying. She was reported missing later that evening and police have been attempting to locate her since then without success.

Katelyn is known to frequent the south end of Halifax, and has gone missing before but not for such an extended period of time. Katelyn is a white female, 5-foot-6, 200 pounds, with shoulder length brown hair and green eyes.

At this time investigators do not believe Katelyn has met with foul play, however, given her age, there is concern for her well being. Officers request that Katelyn, or anyone with information on her whereabouts, calls Halifax Regional Police at 490-5016 or their local
police department.

Katelyn Nicks: FOUND

Katelyn Nicks, 16, was reported missing Jan. 28. The teen was located in Halifax on March 4.

Halifax Regional Police apologized for failing to notify the public earlier that the missing teen had been found.
