Senath child still missing

Breeann Rodriguez

SENATH, Mo. -- The 3-year-old Senath youth who disappeared along with
her bicycle on Saturday afternoon is still missing, according to authorities.
According to Omar Karnes, chief of police for the City of Senath, his
agency, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Task Force,
Dunklin County Sheriff's Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kennett
Police Department, and the Bootheel Drug Task Force are investigating
the disappearance of Breeann Rodriguez, a young Hispanic female
approximately 34-inches tall and weighting about 30 pounds.

Rodriguez disappeared from her residence on Ode Johnson Street in Senath
at approximately 12-noon, Saturday, Aug. 6.

She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, pink pants, and riding a pink
bicycle with training wheels near the intersection of Ode Johnson and Caneer Streets.

Anyone with information regarding the disappearance is asked to contact
the Dunklin County Sheriff's Office at (573) 888-2409 or (573) 888-2424.

On Saturday evening, a "person of interest" was questioned by local
authorities, but according to Karnes, no information was obtained during the interview.

"We've run down every lead that has come up," Karnes said. "We have
officers from all over Pemiscot County, Dunklin County, Greene County
out [searching]. We've been through all houses on street.

"She was there [then] she was gone. There is nothing. No trace. We don't have any trail."

Karnes said the street where the child disappeared from is a dead end
street and the people that live there know what vehicles belong on that
street, but no one saw anything.

Karnes said the departments are currently looking through the sexual offender list.

FBI now involved in search for missing pre-schooler

Aug 07, 2011 11:25 PM EDT

SENATH, MO (KFVS/KAIT) -
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has joined in the search for a missing 3-year-old Dunklin County girl.

According to the Dunklin County Sheriff's Office, Breeann Rodriguez, 3, was still missing late Sunday night. Along with the FBI, Senath Police, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kennett Police, and the Bootheel Drug Task Force are searching for the child.

Sunday more than 200 people searched near Senath on the ground and in the air. Crews also handed out flyers.

It was first believed that Breeann is 4-years-old, however a news release from Senath police Sunday states that she is 3.

Breeann is Hispanic, 34 inches tall and weighs around 30 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

"We're working 24 hours a day until we find her," said Matt Brummund, Acting Assistant Special FBI Agent with the St. Louis Division.

"We get involved when the disappearance involves a child of a tender age," said Rebecca Wu, FBI spokesperson. "We assume there's been an abduction until we get information that proves otherwise."

Authorities said Saturday Breeann was last seen in pigtails, a pink shirt and pink shorts and riding a pink bicycle with training wheels on Ode Johnson Street in Senath Saturday afternoon around noon, according to Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes.

Karnes says she was last seen near the intersection of Ode Johnson and Caneer St.

"She's friendly," said her father Edgar Rodriguez. "She'd go with anybody."

Breeann's father is trying to stay positive, but is also fearful for his daughter. "I don't want to think about the worst," he said.

"She was riding her bike, her bike is nowhere to be found," said Rodriguez. "We looked all around town, we can't find the bike. I got excited because they found a bike over by my aunt's house. Same exact bike, but it wasn't hers. So ... she doesn't ever leave this road … never."

Family and friends are helping authorities search.

Police said Saturday while an Amber Alert hasnot been issued, they are still taking the case very seriously. A spokesman said any information from the public that can help locate Breeann is appreciated.

"We had a person of interest but they were ruled out," said Senath Chief of Police, Omar Karnes. "We have no clues. We need people to look and help us gather information. Right now there's no one to blame."

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Breeann Rodriguez, contact the Senath Police Department at (573)738-2818 or the Dunklin County Sheriff's Office at (573)888-2424.

If
you have any information on the whereabouts of Breeann Rodriguez,
contact the Senath Police Department at (573) 738-2818 or the Dunklin
County Sheriff's Office at (573) 888-2424.

SENATH, MO (KFVS/KAIT) - The family, Federal
authorities and the Senath Police Department is asking for any
information in the disappearance of a missing three year old girl.

According to the Dunklin County Sheriff's Office, Breeann Rodriguez, 3, was still missing late Monday.

In a Monday afternoon news conference the
family and police announced a $45,000 reward with information that leads
to Rodriguez's safe return. $25,000 of that is from the FBI and the
remaining $20,000 is from the City of Senath. Anonymous tips can be
made day or night by calling the Command Center at (314) 791-1205.

Along with the FBI, Senath Police, Missouri
State Highway Patrol, Kennett Police, and the Bootheel Drug Task Force
are searching for the child.

The FBI has a command center set up in the municipal building in Senath.

Police do not have a lot of clues, but many
theories about what might have happened ranging from that the girl could
have wandered off on her own to a possible kidnapping.

Breeann was riding her bike with her brother
around noon on Saturday. Her brother went inside for a bit and came out
to find her and her bike gone.

Her trail goes cold from there.

Sunday more than 200 people searched near Senath on the ground and in the air. Crews also handed out flyers.

Sunday night the town held a prayer vigil.

Breeann is Hispanic, 34 inches tall and weighs around 30 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

"We're working 24 hours a day until we find
her," said Matt Brummund, Acting Assistant Special FBI Agent with the
St. Louis Division.

"We get involved when the disappearance
involves a child of a tender age," said Rebecca Wu, FBI spokesperson.
"We assume there's been an abduction until we get information that
proves otherwise."

Authorities said Saturday Breeann was last
seen in pigtails, a pink shirt and pink shorts and riding a pink bicycle
with training wheels on Ode Johnson Street in Senath Saturday afternoon
around noon, according to Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes.

"She was riding her bike, her bike is nowhere
to be found," said Rodriguez. "We looked all around town, we can't find
the bike. I got excited because they found a bike over by my aunt's
house. Same exact bike, but it wasn't hers. So...she doesn't ever leave
this road…never."

Family and friends are helping authorities search.

Police said an Amber Alert has not been
issued because Breeann's disappearance didn't meet the right criteria;
to become and Amber Alert, people must suspect foul play and neighbors
must have witnessed an actual abduction.

A spokesman said any information from the public that can help locate Breeann is appreciated.

"We had a person of interest but they were
ruled out," said Senath Chief of Police, Omar Karnes. "We have no clues.
We need people to look and help us gather information. Right now
there's no one to blame."

If you have any information on the
whereabouts of Breeann Rodriguez, contact the Senath Police Department
at (573) 738-2818 or the Dunklin County Sheriff's Office at (573)
888-2424.

Brandi Hodges is in Senath today speaking
with neighbors and search crews to find out more about Breeann's
disappearance. Watch Region 8 News tonight at 6 and 10 for more
information.

SENATH, Mo. -- Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes said the search for
missing 3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez will be a daily priority until the
child is found.
"It will be a daily thing until we find her or find out what happened," Karnes said. "It turns this community upside down.

Earlier this afternoon, Karnes was asked for an update on the case, to
which he replied, "We've had a few new leads. There is nothing changed,
still no evidence. Nothing other than a missing child."

Karnes was also asked why an Amber Alert has not been issued.

"It doesn't meet the criteria for an Amber Alert yet, " Karnes said.
"There are no signs of foul play or an abduction. It is just a missing child [case] right now."

Karnes said authorities are out in full force looking for the little girl.

"We are searching again, all of the areas," Karnes said. "We have done a
house-to-house all over Senath. We've looked in everybody's backyard,
we've looked in sheds, under vehicles...ditchbanks, field rows, cotton
fields, and we are going back over them again today.

We've had arial searches [with] helicopters, fixed wing planes...We'll
have a helicopter back up this afternoon. Several agents from the FBI
task force are out."

The police chief reiterated that the person of interest who was
questioned on Saturday night was a dead end, and has been released.

"We had a person of interest," Karnes said. "He has been released. The
investigation is continuing. We are looking at all leads. Right now, we
have no suspects. We've heard a lot of rumors and got a lot of tips, but
nothing has panned out just yet.

"We do have some evidence that has been sent to the crime lab under a rush order. I don't know how it is going to come out.

"A phone call that the child is alive would be a relief."

Rodriguez was reported missing by her family around noon Saturday. She
was last seen wearing pink and blue clothes, pigtails, and was riding a
pink bicycle with training wheels.

According to the Dunklin County Sheriff's Offic, the information concerning the case has been turned over to the state.

If anyone has information on this missing child, please contact the Senath Police at (573)738-2818, or the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department at (573)888-2424.

SENATH, Mo. -- A total of $45,000 has been offered in rewards in the
case of Breeann Rodriguez, 3, who went missing on Saturday near her
Senath home.
At a press conference earlier this afternoon, Rodriguez' parents,
Claudia Ramos and Edgar Rodriguez; Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder;
Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes; and Special Agent In Charge, Dennis
Baker, of the Federal Bureau of Investigation of St. Louis, Mo., gave
updates on the current situation in the case.

After turning the public away, Baker said the FBI has issued a $25,000
reward for the "successful return and prosecution of person or persons
responsible for the disappearance, if someone did take her."

"My department has a $20,000 guaranteed reward for the safe return and
conviction of whoever took Breeann," Karnes said. "We want the child
home safely."

"The FBI, along with the other agencies here, as well as a half dozen
other agencies, are offering assistance to the Senath Police with
resources 24-hours a day," Baker said. "We have been searching by air,
with dogs, on water and land. The community has turned out with
resources, along with Breeann witnesses. We thank the people in this
community for their help, especially with hot it has been."
Baker said the departments are still needing people to call in with information, and calls can be kept anonymous.

"Our goal is to find Breeann, and that is our focus," Baker said.

Baker said anyone with information can call the command post at (314) 791-1205.

The parents of the young child, in an emotional statement, plead for the safe return of their daughter.

"We just want everybody that can to help me and find my daughter," Ramos
said. "I really want to hold her and tell her that she is my princess.
Please, if somebody has her, bring her back to me."

"My daughter never hurt anybody," Rodriguez said. "All I want is my
daughter. I don't care if you drop her off somewhere where somebody can
get ahold of here. I don't have anything against anybody. I realize that
people make mistakes and I don't care where you drop her off at, just
make sure somebody can get ahold of her and bring her home."

The authorities were asked about any evidence of an abduction, to which
Karnes responded, "At this time, there is no new evidence."

"We have followed every lead we've gotten," Karnes said. "Right now,
there is nothing new. We are pursuing everything. We are waiting on more
clues and we are still out looking."

Karnes said the case is still being handled as a missing person case.

"We have no proof of an abduction," Karnes said.

"There have been discussions about missing persons [and] abductions,"
Baker said. "For the FBI, there is a presumption for us that this is an
abduction. We don't have enough evidence at this time to say,
definitely, that this person has been abducted, but we always want to
get out front in case this has been an abduction. It is our presumption,
in this case, with a child missing like this, that there is an
abduction. There is also the possibility that the child could have
wandered off, could be lost. That is a possibility. We are pursuing
everything. We do have a presumption that the chances are that the child
has been abducted."

Baker said anyone with any information is urged to call the command post.

"Our focus is on finding this little girl. What we want is the
information flowing in," Baker said. "We don't want people to not call
thinking it is going to bring attention to them. What we are concerned
about is this little girl."

"As far as the public's information, we want them to know, we want the
child back safe," Karnes said. "We don't care about anybody's history or
their past, we want the child. [If anyone has] any information, please
help us. It is hard to believe no one saw anything, but no one has come
forward yet."

Karnes said searches have gone out in all directions around Senath for approximately five miles.

When asked if there was anything unusual about the day the child went missing, Ramos said, "It was a day like every day."

"My kids were riding their bikes," Ramos said. "I wish everything could
go back and keep her inside and not let her [spend] even one minute
outside."

"It would mean the world to us," Rodriguez said. "Anything...any type of
help. Anything that could help us get to her, it would mean the world
to us. I really do appreciate everybody who is helping, and riding their
four-wheelers. I really do appreciate it. I might not show it when I'm
out there, but I really do."

Rodriguez was reported missing by her family at around noon on Saturday,
Aug. 6. She was last seen wearing pink clothes, pigtails, and was
riding a pink bicycle with training wheels.

If anyone has information on this missing child,
please contact the command post at (314) 731-1205, the Senath Police
Department at (573)738-2818, or the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department
at (573)888-2424.

There was a time that you could do that in this country but that time has long since passed. I am afraid that this young one is gone for good now. The only mystery left is~ the bike. If I am a predator, why on earth would I take a piece of incriminating physical evidence like that? Marc Klaas suggested that the parents may be involved. Did anyone else see her on the bike? If they were involved, would the 5 yo brother stick to a story that his parents told him to tell? Hopefully they have a good child psych working with him to find out if the public story is true or not. At this point I can only say, this is not going to turn out good.

Senath, MO (KSDK) - The FBI has announced a reward
of $25,000 for information leading to the successful recovery and
prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the disappearance
of 3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez, if she was abducted.

In addition to the FBI reward, the Senath Marshal's Office is
offering a reward of up to $20,000, making the total reward up to
$45,000.

Rodriguez was last seen around noon on Saturday near her home on Ode
Johnson Street in Senath, Missouri. She was wearing a pink shirt, pink
and purple pants and was riding a pink bicycle with training wheels.

Her parents made an emotional plea Monday afternoon at a news
conference, and thanked the community for their prayers and support.

Police Chief Omar Karnes said none of her neighbors saw any suspicious
vehicles the day of her disappearance, but the FBI is asking for
information on a white cargo-type van seen in the area a few days prior
to her disappearance. The van had no side windows, and a ladder mounted
on the rear.

Anyone with information should call the FBI command post at 314-791-1205. Callers can remain anonymous.

This is true, a 3 year old should NEVER be left unattended outside anywhere. But we are talking Rural America here. I googled Senath, mo. population is only 1,566. People in very small towns sometimes feel safer than in larger cities. They did live on a dead in street, which probably made them feel even safer about letting her and her brother outside. This just goes to show you, there is no place in America that is safe anymore.

I agree with you this could be a case of child abuse/murder involving the parents. Hopefully the parents did not have the son lie.

Wednesday police announce they've discovered
three pieces of potential evidence that could be linked to missing
3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez.

"They are items of interest," said Chief Omar
Karnes. "We've sent them off to the crime lab for testing. They could
be evidence. Right now we can't say they are linked to Breeann, and we
can't say they aren't."

The items were discovered in an area south of Senath.

Police found a possible physical piece of
evidence around 7 p.m. Tuesday. They found two more possible pieces of
evidence Wednesday morning.

The items were located on County Road 568 in Dunklin County which is approximately two miles southeast of Breeann's home.

The FBI would give no further details on what
they found, but did say crews are searching south of Senath with
helicopters and dog teams.

"It's not clothing and it's not the bike," said Chief Karnes.

Breeann was last seen Saturday while riding
bikes with her five year old brother outside their home on Ode Johnson
road. Her brother went inside for a few minutes and came back out to
find no trace of Breeann, or her pink bike with training wheels.

FBI and Senath Police are looking for a white
cargo van that was seen in the area just days prior to Breeann
disappearing. The full-size older model van could have a ladder mounted
in the back.

At the time of Breeann's disappearance, she was wearing a pink top, and pink and purple shorts

Chief Karnes says for the first time he feels the case it's going somewhere.

"It appears a trail is forming," said Chief Karnes. "I believe she's alive. I feel like somebody's trying to hide something."

Her parents say they are heartbroken and anxious for their daughter's safety. They also believe Breeann is alive.

"I feel like someone has her and they are
scared to bring her back," said her father, Edgar Rodriguez. "I don't
care. All I want is my daughter."

"We just rely on God and pray," said Claudia, her mother. "I know anytime someone is going to tell me they found her."

The FBI and the Senath police are offering a
combined reward of up to $45,000 for the successful recovery and
prosecution of whoever is responsible for her disappearance, if she was
abducted.

Police ask anyone with information to call the St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers tip number at 1-866-371-TIPS.

Tips will also be taken at the Senath Police
Department at (573) 738-2818 or the Dunklin County Sheriff's Office at
(573) 888-2424.

Digital billboards are now displaying Breeann's picture in at:

  • Kings Highway and Broadway (Cape Girardeau, MO)
  • 2418 South Caraway (Jonesboro, AR)
  • 2610 E. Highland Drive (Jonesboro, AR)
  • 2412 Stadium Boulevard (Jonesboro, AR)

Family and friends of Breeann will gather Wednesday night for a candlelight vigil at 7:30 in the city park.

New evidence found in missing Senath youth case

Wednesday, August 10, 2011
GEORGE ANDERSON, Daily Dunklin Democrat

SENATH, Mo. -- Authorities are investigating a new piece of physical evidence in the case of the missing Senath youth.
According to Senath Police Chief Omar Karnes, the evidence has been secured, and authorities are out south of Senath searching.

"We're out south of Senath," Karnes said. "We've found one piece of physical evidence. It has been secured."

When asked if he could elaborate on the evidence, Karnes said, "Not at this time."
On Thursday, authorities said they were again looking for a white van.

According to Karnes, the van is an older model panel van with no windows, and a ladder on the back for roof access. Karnes said the make, model, and license plate are unknown.

Authorities discuss the plan for searching the rural area south of Senath for any additional evidence in the case of Breeann Rodriguez.
Three-year-old Breeann Rodriguez went missing near her home on Ode Johnson Street at approximately 12-noon on Saturday, Aug. 6. She was last seen wearing pink clothes, pigtails, and was riding a pink bicycle with training wheels.
Authorities say the case is still being classified as a missing persons case, however, the FBI say they are treating it as an abduction.

On Monday, a joint reward in the amount of $45,000 was announced for the "successful return and prosecution of person or persons responsible for the disappearance, if someone did take her."

If anyone has information on this missing child, please contact the command post at (314) 731-1205, the Senath Police Department at (573)738-2818, or the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department at (573)888-2424. Tips can remain anonymous.

SENATH, Mo. -- Authorities have come across three items of interest in
the last 24-hours in the case of Breeann Rodriguez, 3, who went missing
on Saturday.
"We have some physical items of interest," Karnes said. "[I can't
elaborate] at this time exactly what they are because they are not in
direct relation with the case."

Of the items, Karnes said one was found Tuesday afternoon and two were
found earlier today, Wednesday, Aug. 10. Karnes said the items cannot be
directly connected or directly not connected with the case at this
time.

"We can't rule them out," Karnes said.

When asked what lead to the items of interest, the police official said,
"Some of our searches happened upon a piece of evidence and contacted
me. We secured the area and found some more."

When asked about the evidence sent to the crime lab earlier this week,
Karnes said it has come back, but hasn't provided any relevant clues. He
also said he is hoping to get DNA off of the newer items.

"They got that back," Karnes said. "So far, none of it has really panned out to be anything."

the ones pictured in connection with the disappearance of 3-year-old
Breeann Rodriguez.

The police chief said the items found over the last 24-hours are
discouraging to him, because, "I want to find her alive. I still think
she is alive."
Karnes said the items of interest make him believe that "Somebody is
trying to hide something." He added that he doesn't believe the items
that were found may have been there before and been overlooked.

"I don't know if it was searched real thoroughly the first time, but
this last search, yes, it turned up something," Karnes said. "We've
expanded it from there."

Karnes said the white van authorities were looking for has not turned
up, and the only clues they have are some surveillance footage.
"It is just one of many [possibilities]," Karnes said, adding that the
FBI has worked more than 200 tips. "They've chased down leads...every
little thing.

"It looks like there may be a trail shaping up," the officer said. When
asked in what direction the trail was leading, he replied, "Circles."

Karnes said he has not ruled out the possibility that the new clues are being planted in an attempt to mislead authorities.

"We haven't ruled that out," Karnes said. "That is why I can't elaborate
on what it is [that has been found]. We don't want any false evidence
placed somewhere."

When asked the current status of the case, Karnes said it is still top priority.

"It's still as fresh as it was on day one," Karnes said. "We haven't
changed anything we're doing. We're searching...going back over places
and searching again. Keep on keeping on. Never give up. We've got to
keep going. We can't give up."

As for the rumors about a white van at Paragould, Ark., trying to lure
children in, Karnes said it has been checked out and nothing has
materialized.

Rodriguez' parents, Edgar Rodriguez and Claudia Ramos, said authorities
haven't told them very much about the items of interest that have been
found.

"They say they don't want to tell us something that is not relevant,"
Rodriguez said as he and his wife searched the grassy area south of
Senath where the two items of interest were found. "They are still
looking for that white van. As far as the community goes, everybody we
talk to says they didn't see anything."

"We know somebody saw something," Ramos said. "They just don't want to tell us."

"We got some new neighbors in front," Rodriguez said. "If anything would
have happened on that road, they would know about it. They didn't see
nothing. So, I don't know."

The couple said they were not sure how nothing was seen, as the neighborhood enjoys watching children play.

As for the time the child went missing, Rodriguez said his daughter didn't leave the house until after 10 a.m.

"I didn't leave the house until about 10 [a.m.], to go to that auction,"
Rodriguez said. "Breeann was still asleep when I left. It had to be
after 10 at least. [Ramos] is saying it was closer to 11. She had to get
up, brush her teeth, get dressed, and eat cereal before she went
outside. It was about 11 o'clock when she went outside and about 11:30
when she went missing. We spend about 30 minutes or 45 minutes looking
for her before we called 911.

"[Ramos] seen her about five minutes before. Before Austin came inside,
she just seen her outside about five minutes before that. You're talking
about five minutes, two or three minutes that Austin went inside, you
are talking less than 10 minutes [and she was gone]."

Rodriguez said he was pushing authorities to issue an Amber Alert, but was told the case didn't miss the criteria.

"I guess it doesn't even meet the criteria for an abduction," Rodriguez
said. "How far can she possibly ride her bike. Look at where we are
looking at. There is no way my daughter was going to ride her bike over
here and get lost."

Rodriguez said his daughter never left the street when riding her bike, adding that she was kind of shy.

Rodriguez went missing near her home on Ode Johnson Street at
approximately 12-noon on Saturday, Aug. 6. She was last seen wearing
pink clothes, pigtails, and was riding a pink bicycle with training
wheels.

Authorities say the case is still being classified as a missing persons
case, however, the FBI say they are treating it as an abduction.

On Monday, a joint reward in the amount of $45,000 was announced for the
"successful return and prosecution of person or persons responsible for
the disappearance, if someone did take her."

If anyone has information on this missing child,

Dunklin County Sheriff's Department at (573)888-2424. Tips can remain

"It's not clothing and it's not the bike," said Chief Karnes.
This certainly has me wondering what they could have found???
Perhaps a bow from her pigtailed hair? Maybe some hair? Traces of blood?
This is very mysterious indeed...

It must be something like the things you suggest as he said the items were discouraging as he wanted to believe she was still alive. It sounds like they don't believe the items were there the first time the area was searched. Very mysterious, that's for sure. She's a beautiful looking child and I suspect someone in the neighbourhood has been watching her. I hope every house and apartment in the immediate vicinity of her home has been thoroughly searched. It sounds like these items are trying to lead the search away from her neigbourhood.

Training wheels found in search for girl

Aug 12, 2011 6:59 AM

SENATH, Mo. (AP) -
Investigators have found training wheels near the site where a
3-year-old southeast Missouri girl disappeared, and are hopeful the
clues will lead to the missing child.

Senath town marshal Omar
Karnes says one wheel was found Tuesday, the other Wednesday. He told
the Kennett Daily Dunklin Democrat (http://bit.ly/o1ZWO9
) that it isn't certain the training wheels are from the small bike
that Breeann Rodriguez was riding in front of her home when she
disappeared on Saturday. The wheels were sent to a crime lab for
analysis.

Karnes says he is still hopeful Breeann will be found alive.

Police continue to search for a white van spotted in the area.

New Evidence In Missing Girl Case

SENATH, MO - Police have uncovered what could be a new lead in the
search for a Southeast Missouri girl. Crews found a pair of training
wheels, similar to those on the bike Breeann Rodriguez was riding when
she disappeared. The 3-year-old went missing Saturday outside her home
in Senath.

For days, search parties have scoured Senath, Missouri, checking drainage ditches, wooded lots, and brush...

"Maybe a body stuffed up in the culvert or a bicycle, or any kind of evidence we can find."

Any signs of 3-year-old Breeann Rodriguez.

Now police say they may have something.

"We found some items of interest. We released they are training wheels
off of a bicycle, similar to the training wheels that were on the
bicycle that was stolen," says Senath police chief Omar Karnes.

Police say the training wheels they found look just like these. While
they can't be sure they're off the bike they're looking for. They say at
least it's a start. The training wheels were found about 2 1/2 miles
southeast of Senath. But there's potential someone just threw them out
coincidently.

"If somebody could come and say, 'Hey, I threw those out there, you
know, to keep my child from using their bike or something', that would
help so much. If we could find the source of them, we could eliminate
them and press on," explains Chief Karnes.

No matter what, these guys will continue to search until Breeann is home again.

"It's worth it if we can find her alive or whatever you know. This is
what it's all about. Community getting together and really trying to
help each other," says searcher Terry Vaughn.

Police have also gotten leads about a white van that was seen nearby at
the time Breeann went missing. Police say it's a cargo van with metal
sides and no windows. It has a ladder in the back that leads to the
roof.

If you have information that might help in this case, you can call the FBI tip line at 314-791-1205.

No abductor/predator is going to take the time to remove training wheels before boot scootin' out of the area. You need tools and time. They don't just snap on.
Either these are not hers or the parental unit(s) chucked them there.

Senath, MO (KSDK)

- The FBI announced Thursday two bicycle training wheels believed to be
from the bicycle that disappeared with pre-schooler Breeann Rodriguez
were found Wednesday approximately two hours southeast of Breeann's
home.

Breeann's father has seen the wheels and believes they
belong to his daughter because of how he manipulated them to be the
right height for her on her bike.

They were found in an area with heavy brush on County Highway 568 east of Buffalo Ditch in Dunklin County. Authorities are continuing to comb the area for additional clues.

Investigators are asking for information about a white
cargo van just days prior to Rodriguez's disappearance. The full-size
older model van may or may not have a ladder mounted on the back.

Breeann disappeared August 6. She was last seen at approximately noon riding
her pink bicycle with training wheels in front of her home on Ode
Johnson Street in Senath. Her bicycle also disappeared. She was wearing a
pink top, and pink and purple shorts.

The FBI and the Senath Marshal's office are offering a combined reward of up to $45,000 for the successful recovery and prosecution of the person(s) responsible for her disappearance, if she was abducted.

The Senath Police Department along with the FBI Task Force, Dunklin County Sheriff's
Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kennett Police Department and the
Bootheel Drug Task Force are investigating the case.

Her parents made an emotional plea Monday afternoon at a news conference,
and thanked the community for their prayers and support.

The training wheels were found 2 hours away from where she disappeared. Why would anyone remove them?

Why was she riding her bike in the street unsupervised?

Something is hinky here.
