Casey Anthony: ‘Dr. Phil’ ratings remain strong --HAL
The ratings for part two of Dr. Phil McGraw’s interview with George and Cindy Anthony were still impressive.
“Dr. Phil” drew 125,600 viewers on Wednesday in the Orlando market, slightly down from the 126,700 who watched part one Tuesday.
The show airs at 3 p.m. weekdays on WOFL-Channel 35. The third part of the interview with Casey Anthony’s parents airs Monday. The Anthonys will discuss their daughter’s acquittal of murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
If “Dr. Phil” had aired Wednesday in prime time in Orlando, it would have been the No. 4 show. The season finale of “America’s Got Talent” on NBC was tops with 246,400 viewers. No. 2 was the season premiere of CBS’ “Survivor” with 134,100 viewers, and No. 3 was the premiere of the NBC sitcom “Up All Night” with 132,000.
“Dr. Phil” had more takers than the season finale of CBS’ “Big Brother,” which had 89,600 fans.
Tuesday’s “Dr. Phil” season premiere was the best showing by the syndicated series since 2004, according to national ratings.
